  • Publication number: 20180320312
Abstract: A stranding unit for a stranding machine has a stranding axis and a cage in which a number of baskets are arranged for receiving a number of reels having a strand material wound thereon. The stranding unit is characterized in that a stand is arranged which has a frame which extends around the cage in a circumferential direction around the stranding axis. The cage is mounted on the frame by a number of frame bearing elements and is rotatable around the stranding axis. As a result of the circumferential bearing, centrifugal forces are particularly efficiently distributed and absorbed by the frame during operation. In an advantageous further development, a plurality of basket are also mounted in a similar manner within the frame. The stranding unit as a whole is furthermore constructed such that it can be operated at a particularly high rotational speed.

  • Publication number: 20180137951
Abstract: A cable having at least one conductor which extends in a longitudinal direction and is enclosed by a jacket that is extruded onto the conductor. The jacket has a plurality of sections which are manufactured from different plastics, with results in the sections having different functionality. As a result, properties of the cable on a respective section are optimally adapted to the requirements of the respective section. There is also described a method for producing such a cable and to an extrusion unit for extruding the jacket with a plurality of sections.

  • Publication number: 20180117820
Abstract: A method for producing an elongated product. By an extrusion unit, a material is extruded onto a core of the elongated product as a casing having a predetermined wall strength. Downstream of the extrusion unit and while the material is still moldable, the elongated product is supplied in a conveying direction to a molding unit. A portion of the material is held by the molding unit and, from the held material, a molded part is formed in an integral manner on the casing. The formation of the molded part is thereby carried out in an advantageous manner, via a deformation of material of the casing.

  • Publication number: 20170282464
Abstract: A process produces an electrical line which extends in the longitudinal direction and the line has a line core and an outer shell. In a continuous shaping process, individual shell portions of the outer shell are formed successively by surrounding the line core with a curable plastic substance. In at least one portion, the outer shell is produced having a cross-sectional geometry which can be varied in the longitudinal direction of the line.

  • Patent number: 4190135
Abstract: A gear rack hoist for lifting, lowering and/or holding containers or the like having upper and lower corner fittings that are adapted to be engaged by conical parts of two beams mounted in spaced relation on a hoist shaft. The beam associated with the lower fitting is provided with two bars of different lengths, the bars being pivotally connected to the hoist shaft and to a conical part. Preferably, the total length of the two bars is less than or does not exceed significantly the height of the hoist shaft. The longer bar is connected to the hoist shaft by an outwardly closed, generally U-shaped suspension and securing bail surrounding the bar with play and extending generally transversely to the hoist shaft. The ball is provided with a guide and support for a support bolt secured to the upper end of the longer bar.
