  • Publication number: 20070099561
Abstract: A system and method for providing cell-based statistics for messages related to the same call. The system and method can receive messages into a message coverage area, link the messages with a call with which they are associated, determine a radio link associated with the messages, create a data record if the radio link has been added, and providing the cell-based statistics that are associated with the messages and the message coverage area to the data record.

  • Publication number: 20070049266
Abstract: A method for testing performance of a mobile telecommunications system includes the steps of using a link probe for coupling a signaling analyzer to a mobile telecommunications link between a wireless network controller and a wireless transmission/reception station, collecting signaling information with the signaling analyzer for the predetermined telecommunications activities coupled through the mobile telecommunications link, and analyzing collected signaling information from the step of collecting to determine performance values for the mobile telecommunications link.

  • Publication number: 20070049243
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring operations of a mobile telecommunications network, which includes a multiplicity of different types of communications links for conveying communications data between end users, with each different type of communications link having a separate respective signaling information protocol, includes recording signaling information from each communications link in a database during routing of communications data through the telecommunications system, and generating a database report from recorded signaling information including end-to-end call statistics covering the communications links between end users and a count of successful and non successful calls by call type.

  • Publication number: 20070014311
Abstract: A method and apparatus for grouping signaling messages across a point to multipoint network. The signaling messages across a point to multipoint network are correlated into a session based on respective call information of the signaling messages and the signaling messages including summarized traffic information in relation thereto are displayed using a graphical user interface.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20060270409
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer readable medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions to facilitate a Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) mobile call using a call trace session. The method includes the operations of comparing a plurality of interface captures for lub and lur interfaces to determine whether signaling and user plane messages have a same uplink scrambling code; and combining, automatically, the signaling and user plane messages from different soft handover legs that have the same uplink scrambling code, as determined by said comparing, to yield a composite call trace feature.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: November 30, 2006
    Inventors: Juergen Voss, Andrew McArthur
  • Publication number: 20060246844
Abstract: A method of displaying quality of service information. The method generally comprises collecting data from a system under test; identifying quality of service parameters; calculating values for quality of service parameters based on the data collected from the system under test; graphing the values on a three dimensional graph having a first axis indicating the parameters, a second axis indicating values of the parameters, and a third axis indicating time.

  • Publication number: 20060245432
Abstract: A method of displaying quality of service information based on data collected from a system under test. At least one base station related to the collected data is identified and for each time interval a quality of service value is calculated for each of the at least one base station. The quality of service values are compared to at least one defined threshold and a relationship between the quality of service values and the at least one defined threshold is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20060245353
Abstract: A method of creating a graphical display illustrating throughput of data across a protocol layer. A first graphical indication is displayed which illustrates of the number of data units received, by a protocol layer, for each of a plurality of transmission intervals. A second graphical indication is displayed which illustrated the number of data units output by the protocol layer for each of a plurality of transmission intervals.

  • Publication number: 20060229057
Abstract: In a telecommunications network having a radio access network (RAN) portion and a core network (CN) portion, data records are built from messages monitored in the RAN portion, each data record including at least two different predetermined types of field values, such as time, location area, cause indicative of a cause of termination of a transaction within a call for which the data record is built, subscriber identity and at least one type of service. The data records are then enriched by providing further information into the data records including at least an identifier for each predetermined type of field value in the data records.

  • Patent number: 6823767
Abstract: The invention is based on the concept of providing a digital data transmission of the fuze-timing data into a fuze-timable ammunition unit, for example with an HDB-3 (High-Density Bipolar) transmission code and voltage modulation. As is known from asynchronous data transmission, a start byte and a stop byte are respectively positioned in front of and behind the HDB-3 code, and are therefore components of thee fuze-timing data. The fuze-timing time is transmitted numerically as a data byte between the start and stop bytes. Accordingly, the ammunition unit (3) includes fuze-timing electronics (4), which comprise a (voltage) demodulator (30), a (current) modulator (31) and a microprocessor (32) having an RC-oscillator cycle counter (32.1), an RC oscillator (33), a fuze-timing counter (34) and an actuator end stage (36). A firing sensor (35) serves as the fuze-timing-time triggering element at the start of the flight phase.
