  • Publication number: 20170203314
Abstract: A two part airless adhesive spray system is provided herein. This system provides numerous enhancements to the prior art including limiting overspray “fog,” saving on sprayed material because of a more efficient spray pattern, and providing a stronger bond than that of the air-atomized spray guns of the prior art.

  • Patent number: 9687994
Abstract: A retain-and-release member, which is coupled to a punch holder of a punch assembly, engages a punch tip against an end of the holder, such that a working portion of the tip extends from the end. A punch guide sidewall of the assembly includes an aperture aligned with an actuation interface of the retain-and-release member, when the punch holder and the engaged punch tip are slidably engaged within a guide bore formed by the punch guide sidewall. The aperture provides access for applying a force, to the actuation interface, in order to disengage the retain-and-release member from the punch tip, while the punch holder remains within the guide bore of the assembly. Following the removal, the same punch tip, or another, may be inserted into the guide bore and into engagement with the retain-and-release member.

  • Publication number: 20170173609
Abstract: A two part adhesive spray system is provided herein. This system provides numerous enhancements to the prior art including limiting overspray “fog,” saving on sprayed material because of a more efficient spray pattern, and providing a more efficient bond than that of the prior art. In particular, the present invention provides a spray pattern having both adhesive and activator. The activator is sprayed in a smaller spray area than the adhesive, which is sprayed on a larger area. As such, when sprayed on a substrate, the activator provides a rapid tack to hold a second adhered material to the substrate sufficient to hold it in place while the remainder of the adhesive dries and/or cures.

  • Publication number: 20170165702
Abstract: An adhesive application apparatus is provided. The apparatus uses a rolled on adhesive applied to a substrate. After roll application, an adhesive activator is sprayed onto the substrate. By spraying an activator onto the substrate after the adhesive is applied, the adhesive may be made tacky for adhesion, but the adhesive used for rolling may be highly stable and slow to dry/cure without said activator, which enhances rolled application effectiveness.

  • Publication number: 20170021638
Abstract: Systems and methods for printing data on a substrate including a color-changeable material are provided. One system includes a processing circuit and a device including an energy source. At least a portion of a printed publication is printed on the substrate using a commercial printing press based on fixed data. The device including the energy source is configured to add variable data to the substrate. The processing circuit is configured to receive the variable data and to control the energy source to change a color of the color-changeable material based on the variable data to provide at least a portion of the printed publication. The processing circuit is configured to control the energy source to change the color of the color-changeable material in-line with a flow of the substrate through one of a printing line, a finishing line, or a packaging line of the commercial printing press.

  • Patent number: 9481064
Abstract: A multi-tool adaptor which enhances overall performance of the multi-tools on which the adaptor is intended and the punch presses with which the multi-tools are desired to interface. The intermediary components relating to the functioning of the multi-tool involve one area of consideration regarding the adaptor design. Another area of consideration for the adaptor design involves the manner by which the stripper plate is operably coupled to the punch holder.

  • Patent number: 9463935
Abstract: A vibratory conveyor system particularly suitable for elongated foodstuffs and other products includes a rogue product removal pan which can only pass a single one of the items being processed, with the item having the desired alignment/orientation, through each of its product acceptance lanes at a given time. Items therefore leave the rogue product removal pan in orderly rows of single items, thereby easing their packaging. Misaligned items, and or items that were stacked atop other items, are culled by the rogue product removal pan, and can be “recycled” back to the entry of the rogue product removal pan. These “recycled” items are passed through the rogue product removal pan for packaging if they assume the desired orientation, or are again culled and “recycled” if they do not assume the desired orientation.

  • Publication number: 20160221020
Abstract: A holster for a spray gun is provided. The holster is configured to hold a spray gun in place when not in use. The holster has a reservoir body that defines an open-topped chamber. A fluid may be held inside the chamber, and a nozzle of the spray gun held by the holster may submerge in this fluid. The nozzle being submerged in the fluid of the holster can prevent hardening, thickening or drying of any material left over on or in the spray gun nozzle after use.

  • Patent number: 9235563
Abstract: Systems and computer-implemented processes for identification of features and determination of feature associations in a group of documents can involve providing a plurality of keywords identified among the terms of at least some of the documents. A value measure can be calculated for each keyword. High-value keywords are defined as those keywords having value measures that exceed a threshold. For each high-value keyword, term-document associations (TDA) are accessed. The TDA characterize measures of association between each term and at least some documents in the group. A processor quantifies similarities between unique pairs of high-value keywords based on the TDA for each respective high-value keyword and generates a similarity matrix that indicates one or more sets that each comprise highly associated high-value keywords.
