    Abstract: A laser marking system comprises at least one controller to control an array of optical devices, between a laser source and a scan head. The array applies a selected pattern of portions of the received spatial profile of the laser beam to the substrate to achieve a second intensity different from the first intensity of laser beam at a rate of power deposition relative to a rate of thermal diffusion in the substrate for a predetermined time interval to thermally heat locations of the substrate with the selected pattern of the portions. The second intensity effectuates carbonization of materials of the substrate to create a mark without ablation.

    Abstract: A mechanism for adjusting vertical seat position using a single extremity and requires no user weight to lower. The mechanism features a seat with an integrated grip for lifting. A spring-loaded latch obstructs the teeth to prevent seat lowering without rotation of a handle. The latch pivots out from obstructing the teeth when lifted. To lower the user rotates the handle to disengage the latch, causing the seat to lower under its own weight. At the desired height, the user releases the handle to permit the latch to obstruct downward movement. A gas spring may counter-balance to reduce overall effective seat weight, making the seat easier to lift while still allowing the seat to lower under its own weight upon rotating the handle. The mechanism for horizontal adjustment couples to the handle, which displaces a cable that disengages a pin allowing the seat to move horizontally on a track.

The cross-member is connected to the recliner hearts and transmits torque from the release handle to the second recliner heart to move the recliner hearts between the locked and unlocked states. The handle pin engages the release handle. The handle-travel-limiter may include a flange portion and a shaft portion. The shaft portion may include an aperture configured to receive the cross-member. The flange portion extends radially outward from the shaft portion. The handle pin engages the handle-travel-limiter. The reinforcement member may be fixed to the handle-travel-limiter and the handle pin.

By placing both types of cells on a single die, rather than separate dies, various performance metrics may be improved, including those related to power consumption and operation speed.

The power source provides a negative electric charge to the at least partially electrically conductive portion for an indefinite period of time.
