Abstract: The present invention concerns nucleated propylene polymers having a xylene soluble fraction at 23° C. of less than 2.5%, a crystallization temperature of over 124 ° C. and a tensile modulus of greater than 2,000 MPa. These polymers can be prepared by nucleating a propylene polymer with a polymeric nucleating agent containing vinyl compound units, and by polymerizing propylene optionally with comonomers in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system primarily transesterified with a phthalic acid ester—a lower alcohol pair to provide said propylene polymer. The catalyst contains a strongly coordinating external donor.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for producing a propylene polymer nucleated with a polymeric nucleating agent containing vinyl compound units. The method comprises modifying a catalyst by polymerizing a vinyl compound in the presence of said catalyst in a medium, which does not essentially dissolve the polymerized vinyl compound, and by continuing the polymerization of the vinyl compound until the concentration of unreacted vinyl compounds is less than about 0.5 wt-%. The thus obtained modified catalyst composition is used for polymerizing propylene optionally together with comonomers to produce in the presence of said modified catalyst composition. Modification of the catalyst according to the present invention will reduce production costs and provide highly reliable catalyst activity.

Abstract: The invention relates to a copolymer composition prepared from copolymers of propene and &agr;-olefin having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, having high molecular weight, a broad molecular weight distribution and an improved comonomer distribution. The invention relates also to a process for producing the composition and the use of the composition in pipes, fittings, profiles, films and foams. The composition is a so-called reactor mixture of copolymers of said monomers comprising a first copolymer having a higher molecular weight, an &agr;-olefin content of 3 to 10 wt. % and a melt flow rate MFR2 of 0,005 to 0,8, and a second copolymer having a lower molecular weight, thus the final composition has a comonomer content of 2 to 10 wt. %, a melt flow rate MFR2 of 0,05 to 2,5 wt. %, a melt flow ratio MFR10/MFR2 of 6 to 15, and the split of the copolymers in the composition between the higher molecular weight copolymer and the lower molecular weight copolymer is from 40/60 to 70/30.

Abstract: The invention relates to the implementation of an access service in a telecommunications network comprising an access network, a network providing services, and user-operated terminals which are connected to the access network. The access service is offered by connecting the user terminal to the network providing the services through interface elements which connect the access network and the network providing the services. As a response to the access service at least one charging record is generated. The record is transferred to billing means for billing the access service subscriber for the access service. So that it would be possible to combine the access service with reliable and versatile billing in a connectionless network, the terminal is used to generate charging messages which are provided with a subscriber-specific digital signature, and the signatures generated by the terminal are verified outside of the terminal.

Abstract: Apparatus for damping vibrations between the output element of the engine and the power train in a motor vehicle has flywheels which are rotatable relative to each other. One flywheel is mounted on the output element of the engine and another flywheel is connectable to the power train by a friction clutch. Vibration dampers are installed between the flywheels, and such dampers are confined in a housing which is provided on the one flywheel and contains a supply of viscous fluid lubricating medium for the parts of the dampers. The housing is the input member of the dampers, and the output member of the dampers is a flange which extends into the housing and is axially movably coupled to the other flywheel.

Abstract: In a device (1) for delivering liquid or paste-like media to a coating unit (2) by a delivery pump (3) which is connected to a supply reservoir (7) via a suction line (5) and is connected to the coating unit (2) via a delivery line (6), the device can be connected directly or via the coating machine (2) to the suction line (5) in order to clean the delivery pump (3), the suction line (5) and/or the delivery line (6). Using the delivery pump (3), this design allows the suction line (5) also to be cleaned in a simple manner, so that deposits in the suction line (5) can be reliably removed.

The apparatus is particularly dedicated for the rapid processing and digitizing of medical radiographic film.

Abstract: The CC type chemokines belong to a family of polypeptides which have proven to be mediators of immune reactions, and they have recently attracted attention due to their antiviral activity with respect to HIV. The cloning and molecular characterization of a human tandem gene is disclosed which contains the closely linked coding regions for two new CC type chemokines the sequences of which are highly homologous with that of MIP-1&agr;. The transcription of the tandem gene leads to a bicistronic mature transcript which contains the non-overlapping open reading frames for the recently described factor HCC-1 and an as yet unknown CC type chemokine, designated as CC-2. Moreover, alternative splicing of the primary transcript yields at least one additional CC type chemokine, cytokine CC-3. Two functional promoter regions were identified within the tandem gene.
