  • Patent number: 11562101
Abstract: A programmable logic device verifies that configuration data permissibly programs the programmable logic device. The programmable logic device includes a programmable fabric having partitions to be programmed by the configuration data, a secure device manager that may generate masks based on the configuration data, and a local sector manager. The masks determine that the configuration data is configured to permissibly program the permitted partitions or that the permitted partitions have been permissibly programmed. The local sector manager applies the masks to generate an interleaved result, compares the interleaved result to an expected result, and sends an indication that the configuration data is configured to permissibly program the permitted partitions or permissibly programmed the permitted partitions in response to determining that the interleaved result is the expected result, or sends an alert to stop programming in response to determining that the interleaved result is not the expected result.

  • Publication number: 20220414274
Abstract: Techniques are provided for actively controlling a communications bus to mitigate threats, including cyber-attacks. A methodology implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes detecting a threat in a message that is being transmitted between nodes on the communications bus. The message comprises one or more message frames and the threat detection is based on analysis of an initial portion of the message frame. The method further includes actively controlling the bus, based on the threat detection, to prevent the remaining portion of the message frame from delivering the threat to one or more of the nodes on the bus. Actively controlling the bus includes isolating nodes from the bus and/or overwriting data in the remaining portion of the message frame to invalidate the message frame or to remove the threat from the message frame.

  • Patent number: 11518138
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed are directed to a woven fabric band that is capable of being secured to another object using threads or the band itself. The woven fabric band may include an inner layer having a first temperature melting point and an outer layer having a second temperature melting point that is higher than the first temperature melting point. When heat having the first temperature is applied to the woven fabric band, the inner layer of the woven fabric band melts while the outer layer remains in its original state. When the inner layer melts, the inner layer conforms to a first shape. As a result of the inner layer conforming to the first shape, the outer layer also conforms to the same shape.
