  • Patent number: 6719397
Abstract: The present invention provides an ink jet printhead identification circuit and method. The identification circuit is constructed of a fuse and other electronic components. A plurality of circuits are arranged and integrated on the printhead of the cartridge and encoded prior to leaving the factory subjecting the identification and detection circuits to achieve its identification purpose (of identifying general information of the cartridge, such as model number, serial number, color or gray-scale setting, and best printing quality). The circuits may alternatively be encoded subsequent to leaving the factory and usage to a certain state subjecting the identification circuits to achieve its detection purpose (of detecting the current status of the cartridge, such as whether its lifespan has elapsed).

  • Publication number: 20020077027
Abstract: A colored paper bits and streamers gas launcher comprised of a tubular container, a pneumatic pressure tank, and a switch assembly. Highly compressed gas in the pneumatic pressure tank serves as the motive propellant force of the launcher, while the switch assembly is installed at the upper extent of the pneumatic pressure tank and controls the storage and release of the highly compressed gas in the pneumatic pressure tank, with both aspects constituting a dynamic control device. Furthermore, the dynamic control device is disposed in the lower end section of the tubular container and the confetti, streamers, or other similar colored effects are situated in the upper end section of the tubular container.

  • Patent number: 6352270
Abstract: A brake assembly for a scooter has a braking assembly pivotally mounted at a rear end of a pedal of the scooter and in front of a rear wheel of the scooter. The brake assembly has an arcuate plate, two flanges respectively and concentrically formed at two bottom sides thereof, and two auxiliary wheels respectively and rotatably mounted on the flanges. A linkage assembly with a resilient member is mounted between the pedal and braking assembly. Whereby, when the braking assembly is trodden downward by a rider, the arcuate plate contacts the rear wheel and the auxiliary wheels contact the ground to increase friction to stop the scooter. When the braking assembly is released, it will return to the original position under the force of resilient member of the linkage assembly.

  • Patent number: 6350303
Abstract: A solid powder trapping system for filtering out solid powder from a mixture of gaseous reactants that also includes a device capable of determining the degree of powder accumulation inside the trap. The powder trapping system uses a powder trap to catch the solid powder within the gaseous mixture. A magnetic flux sensor is also installed inside the trap for measuring a magnetic flux whose strength depends on the amount of solid powder inside the trap. The magnetic flux sensor is connected to a display device so that reading from the display device reflects the amount of solid powder accumulated inside the powder trap.

  • Patent number: 6186968
Abstract: An foldable electric traction machine comprises a front beam, a rear beam and a joint connecting the front beam and the rear beam. A motor is mounted beneath the rear beam. A sliding bracket is mounted on an extension beam and can be moved by the motor. The body of a patient lying on the traction machine will be stretched by the motor driving the sliding bracket along the extension beam. A rope is provide under the front and the rear beam and will be gradually tensioned with the movement of the sliding bracket. Therefore, when the motor is operated, the traction machine not only can improve the user's body condition, but also raise the user's waist.

  • Patent number: 6044558
Abstract: A combination of hair combing trimmer, shaver, and head side profile cutter includes a main body and a cutting head. The main body has a power supply and transmission unit mounted therein and defines a reservoir therein for receiving hair clippings. The cutting head, being selected from the group consisting of a hair combing trimmer, a shaver, and a head side profile cutter, includes a housing, a blade mounted in the housing, and a comb mounted on the cutting head for cooperation with the blade for trimming hair. The primary feature of the present invention resides in that the combination device is made in a separable form that allows a first cutting head to be integrally removed from the main body to be replaced with a second cutting head.

  • Patent number: 6030319
Abstract: A foldable cross-country skiing exerciser is disclosed. The exerciser includes I shaped base having a first bracket and a second bracket securely mounted thereon, a pair of rods respectively and pivotally received in the first and the second brackets, two pairs of dangling arms pivotally connected with the rods and a pair of sliders each pivotally received between a pair of dangling arms. Both of the rods each have a locking means to selectively fix the rods with respect to the base. The first bracket has an elongate through hole so that the rod pivotally received in the first bracket is movable with respect to the base. Therefore, after the rod in the second bracket is folded, the rod in the first bracket is moved upward along the elongate through hole and folded on top of the folded rod for storage.

  • Patent number: 5367477
Abstract: A zero detection method (FIG. 5) and a zero detection apparatus (FIGS. 2-4) involves determining if the sum of at least two operands and a carry-in bit will produce a zero result. The zero detection is performed in parallel to another system calculation, such as an addition or subtraction of the two operands. The zero detection logic has a hierarchical structure (see FIG. 4) which is used to reduce logic and quicken the zero detect process of FIG. 5. Zero detection may occur for more than one group of bits within the two operands. The zero detection is used, in a preferred form, primarily in floating point operations such as floating point additions.
