  • Patent number: 10702309
Abstract: A polyaxial bone screw assembly includes a threaded shank body having an upper capture structure, a head and a multi-piece retainer, articulation structure. The geometry of the retainer structure pieces corresponds and cooperates with the external geometry of the capture structure to frictionally envelope the retainer structure between the capture structure and an internal surface defining a cavity of the head. The head has a U-shaped cradle defining a channel for receiving a spinal fixation or stabilization longitudinal connecting member. The head channel communicates with the cavity and further with a restrictive opening that receives retainer pieces and the capture structure into the head but prevents passage of frictionally engaged retainer and capture structures out of the head. The retainer structure includes a substantially spherical surface that mates with the internal surface of the head, providing a ball joint, enabling the head to be disposed at an angle relative to the shank body.

  • Patent number: 10704363
Abstract: An operating system for a barrier valve or safety valve is responsive to increments in annulus or tubing pressure. An indexing device controls valves that selectively direct pressure applied to one side of an operating piston or the other for attaining the open and closed positions of the barrier valve. One such indexing device can be a j-slot. Other devices that operate a pair of hydraulic valves in tandem for pressure direction to one side of an actuation piston or another are contemplated. The system needs no electric power and there are no control lines needed to run below the production packer in the case of using annulus pressure to actuate the piston or at all if access to tubing pressure is provided from the vicinity of the barrier valve components.

  • Publication number: 20200210029
Abstract: A computing device receives a first display rule associated with an object category that defines whether unselected objects in the category are displayed when the object is selected, and a second display rule associated with an object that defines whether the object can continue to be displayed when the object is selected. The computing device renders a first display of the listing on a user interface of another computing device. The computing device receives notification of selection of a user interface element on the second computing device requesting selection of the object from the first display and analyzes the object by determining the object category, the first display rule, and the second display rule. The computing devices render a second display of the listing on a user interface of the second computing device comprising an updated display of the objects according to the first and second display rules.

  • Publication number: 20200211317
Abstract: There is described a gaming table having a playing surface in which a display panel is positioned below the playing surface of the gaming table, and is operable to display moving and/or still images which can be viewed through the playing surface by players at the table. A diffuser screen 8 may be placed between the playing surface and the display panel. If the upper surface of the display panel is uneven, a cover sheet 16 may be placed over the display panel to provide a smooth substrate for the diffuser screen and/or the playing surface. Embodiments are described in which a projector projects an image onto the undersurface of a screen mounted below the playing surface so that the image is visible through the playing surface.

  • Publication number: 20200208496
Abstract: A chemically-activated inflow control device. The inflow control device comprises a tubular body configured to be connected in series to joints of sand screen in a wellbore. The tubular body forms a bore that receives a slotted base pipe. At the same time, the tubular body is fluidly connected with the sand screen joints, forming an annular flow path between the slotted base pipe and surrounding sand screen. Production fluids moving into the sand screen pass across a component that degrades in the presence of water. If the well begins producing water, the degradable component will dissolve, activating a sealing mechanism within the inflow control device and closing a restricted flow path. In this way, production fluids are not able to travel from the annular flow path into the bore of the slotted base pipe. A method for completing a wellbore having a chemically-activated inflow control device is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20200205865
Abstract: A tool set for implanting a rod in a human spine in conjunction with bone screws includes a pair of end guide tools that receive opposite ends of the rod in channels and under manipulation by a surgeon facilitate transport of the rod toward the bone screws attached to the guide tools. Each end guide tool includes a laterally extending, rigid, rod holding structure located near a bottom surface thereof. Intermediate guide tools having pass-through slots are utilized to guide the rod to the bone screws at intermediate locations. For bone screw implantation, the end guide tools and intermediate guide tools are assembled with a driver. The driver is coaxial with the respective guide tool and rotatingly mateable thereto. The driver includes a stem and a nut-type fastener, the stem receivable in the guide tool. The fastener allows for rotation of the bone screw without rotating the attached guide tool.

  • Patent number: 10698792
Abstract: Described technologies aid execution control during replays of traced program behavior. Cross-level mapping correlates source code, an intermediate representation, and native instructions in a trace. The trace includes a record of native code instructions which were executed by a runtime-managed program. The trace does not include any executing instance of the runtime. Breakpoints are set to align trace locations with source code expressions or statements, and to skip over garbage collection and other code unlikely to interest a developer. A live debugging environment is adapted to support trace-based reverse execution. An execution controller in a debugger or other tool may utilize breakpoint ranges, cross-level mappings, backward step-out support, and other items to control a replay execution of the trace.
