  • Publication number: 20240351088
Abstract: A stud punch device is disclosed that can be configured to punch holes in metal studs that have been placed at various elevations in a structure. The disclosed stud punch can be configured to adjust its elevation so that the operator of the device can sand on a floor while punching the cut outs rather than having to climb a ladder or scaffolding to operate the device near the location of the hole(s) to be punched out by the stud punch device.

  • Patent number: 11940133
Abstract: A frame having a clip for securing the frame to an article of clothing or other object. The frame includes a mount for receiving a removable module and a rotatably attached clip. The clip includes an opening for accommodating sewing ribs between portions of a webbing and a gate (which may be a locking wire) moveable between an open position and a closed position at one end of the opening. In the open position, the locking wire removably engages one of a pair of elongated members defining the opening, e.g., by removably engaging that elongated member at a recess in an outside edge thereof, and does not obstruct the opening. When in the closed position, the locking wire removably engages the other of the elongated members, for example by removably engaging that other elongated member at a recess in its outside edge, and obstructs the longitudinal opening.

  • Patent number: 9895227
Abstract: An expandable prosthesis having an imageable structure comprising one or more elements visually distinguishable by an external (e.g., radiographic or ultrasonic) imaging system, the structure being located about a first axis that corresponds to a structural feature of the prosthesis that is configured to perform a specific function particular to that axis. The imageable structure is configured to assist in the rotational orientation of the prosthesis during placement within the implantation site. In one embodiment, the prosthesis comprises a venous valve that includes imageable elements or structure, such as a pair of radiopaque markers, that defines the orifice of the valve structure such that the orifice can be oriented with a particular anatomical feature under imaging, such as to align the orifice with the long axis of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 9421096
Abstract: An expandable venous valve having a support structure that is configured to enlarge the area adjacent to the valve structure such that the flow patterns of retrograde flow are modified in a way that facilitates the flushing of the pockets at the base of the valve area to prevent stagnation of bodily fluid, which in the venous system, can lead to thrombus formation. The enlarged pocket areas can be created by forming an artificial sinus adjacent the valve structure in an unsupported section of vessel wall between two support frame sections or the support frame can comprise an expanded-diameter intermediate or proximal section that forms an artificial sinus adjacent the valve structure.

Further described are certain reduced or low profile procedures and devices for the percutaneous occlusion of the saphenous vein, such as in the treatment of a varicose vein condition caused by venous reflux. Devices and procedures can involve an endoluminal delivery device having an atraumatic distal end, that is advancable through a vascular vessel, and an occlusion device received on the endoluminal delivery device. The endoluminal delivery device can have one or more adaptations for releasably receiving the occlusion device. The occlusion device can include a sponge form material. The occlusion device can include a remodelable material or a synthetic material. The occlusion device can include an anchor.

  • Patent number: 9078746
Abstract: A valve prosthesis, such as an artificial venous valve, is described. The valve prosthesis has a support frame formed from a cannula and an attached covering that defines an opening adapted to move between a first position in which the opening is open to fluid flow and a second position in which the opening is closed to fluid flow. The support frame includes a leaflet support portion and a circumferential centering support element disposed adjacent the leaflet support portion with respect to a lengthwise axis of the support frame and mirroring the leaflet support portion with respect to a transverse axis of the support frame.

  • Patent number: 9017397
Abstract: Prosthetic valve devices for implantation in body vessels are provided. The prosthetic valve device includes at least one flexible member that permits fluid flow in a first direction and substantially prevents fluid flow in a second. The valve device also includes an inflatable chamber at least partially attached to the flexible member. The inflatable chamber is adapted to receive inflating media and is adapted to contact the body vessel. A delivery system is also provided that includes a valve device and a delivery apparatus. The delivery apparatus includes a member adapted for filling the chamber of the valve device with inflating media. A related method of making the valve device is also provided.
