  • Publication number: 20210333897
Abstract: An electromagnetic (EM) pose tracking system includes a computer input device having a pen or stylus form factor. In some embodiments, a base station device includes one of the transmitter (Tx) or receiver (Rx) module for the EM pose tracking system while the computer input device includes the other of the TX and receiver modules. The EM pose tracking system employs the Tx and Rx modules to collect EM pose data indicating a relative pose between the Tx and Rx modules. Based on the EM pose data, the EM pose tracking system (or a computer device working with the EM pose tracking system) identifies a pose (position, orientation, or both position and orientation) of the computer input device.

  • Publication number: 20210307457
Abstract: A clasp includes a base member with a first magnetic element and a detachable member with a second magnetic element. The first magnetic element is positioned within a lateral groove in the base member and the second magnetic element is position on a tongue of the detachable member. A first cleat in the base member engages second cleat on the tongue when the tongue is secured in a seated position within the lateral groove. The magnetic elements bias the tongue into the seated position within the lateral groove in response to positioning the second cleat over the first cleat and then moving the second magnetic element into proximity with the first magnetic element. The detachable member may be detached from the base member by applying a lateral force that overcomes friction between the members and magnetic forces between the magnetic elements to slide the tongue laterally through the lateral groove.

  • Patent number: 11118152
Abstract: A bio-reactive container and filter assembly to improve flow rates and mass transfer without increased pressure. An inlet filter membrane secured to the container defines a container chamber in combination with the container. An inlet filter membrane element may also be secured to the container to provide structural support to the membrane. An outlet membrane secured to the container defines a container chamber in combination with the container. An outlet filter membrane element may also be secured to the container to provide structural support to the outlet membrane. Inlet and/or outlet filters and/or filter elements are constructed to significantly increase surface area available for fluid and/or gas ingress and/or egress. Single and double layer membranes with mixtures of hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics are used to maximize perfusion and gasification/degasification of bio-reactive containers.

  • Publication number: 20210240969
Abstract: Systems and methods may increase facial recognition throughput by reducing search data as a person traverses through a theme park. Systems and methods include storing facial identification data in a theme park database as guests enter a theme park and removing facial identification data in the theme park database as guests exit the theme park. In this manner, the theme park database includes facial identification data of guests inside the theme park, and not of guests who have left the theme park, thereby reducing the size of the theme park database as guests exit the theme park. Similarly, this approach may be implemented within each of the various areas of the theme park, such that the size of databases associated with each area of the park only includes entries corresponding to guests in the particular park area.

  • Patent number: 10908314
Abstract: Aspects of a method for mapping a perforation tunnel and crush zone of a perforated core sample. The method may include scanning a perforated core sample having a perforation tunnel containing a permeability-impairing material with a first computerized tomography (CT) scanning apparatus to produce a first 3D model of the perforation tunnel. The method may further include forming a cleared perforation tunnel by removing at least a portion of the permeability-impairing material from within the perforation tunnel without splitting the core sample at the perforation tunnel, and scanning the perforated core sample having the cleared perforation tunnel with a second computerized tomography (CT) scanning apparatus to produce a second 3D model of the cleared perforation tunnel. The method may compare the first 3D model and the second 3D model to obtain a 3D mapping of the perforation tunnel or a crush zone.

  • Publication number: 20200384392
Abstract: A liquid recovery filter assembly for recovering filtered liquid trapped within a core or downstream side of a filter element. Multiple embodiments each include a recovery port and a recovery filter in fluid communication with the core or downstream side of the filter element. The recovery port is opened following filtration operations to permit and to facilitate filtered liquid to flow from a downstream or outlet port, thus allowing recovery of liquid remaining in the filter core or downstream side following filtering operations. The recovery filter permits the introduction of pressurized gas to force the filtered liquids from the filter assembly without compromising the sterility and/or non-contaminant condition of the liquid.
