  • Patent number: 11935368
Abstract: A lottery ticket dispensing method provides different types of lottery tickets in a jurisdiction and includes providing first lottery tickets for sale from a dispenser for a first type of lottery game. Upon a player making a selection of one of the first lottery tickets for purchase, a controller in communication with the dispenser determines whether one or more other lottery games are available for play within the jurisdiction. The method assigns one or more companion games from the available other lottery games based on the player's selection of the first lottery ticket and predefined filter values. The companion games are presented to the player as a suggestion or recommendation for an additional lottery ticket purchase. Upon the player selecting one of the companion games for purchase, the additional lottery ticket is provided to the player from the dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20230334651
Abstract: A method and system for inspecting a honeycomb body. The method includes capturing a first image. Instances of at least one feature in the first image that correlates to a structural characteristic of the honeycomb body are detected. One or more detected instances of the at least one feature identified in the first image are abstracted by creating a graphical representation of each of the one or more detected instances of the at least one feature. A second image is generated by augmenting the first image with the graphical representation in place of or in addition to each of the one or more detected instances of the at least one feature identified in the first image. The second image is analyzed using a machine learning algorithm to classify the honeycomb body with respect to the structural characteristic of the honeycomb body.

  • Patent number: 11379967
Abstract: Methods and systems for improved detection and classification of defects of interest (DOI) is realized based on values of one or more automatically generated attributes derived from images of a candidate defect. Automatically generated attributes are determined by iteratively training, reducing, and retraining a deep learning model. The deep learning model relates optical images of candidate defects to a known classification of those defects. After model reduction, attributes of the reduced model are identified which strongly relate the optical images of candidate defects to the known classification of the defects. The reduced model is subsequently employed to generate values of the identified attributes associated with images of candidate defects having unknown classification. In another aspect, a statistical classifier is employed to classify defects based on automatically generated attributes and attributes identified manually.
