  • Publication number: 20250085970
Abstract: Techniques for managing compute slice tasks are disclosed. A processing unit comprising compute slices, load-store units (LSUs), a control unit, and a memory system is accessed. The compute slices are coupled. Each compute slice includes an LSU which is coupled to a predecessor LSU and a successor LSU. A compiled program is executed as the control unit distributes slice tasks to the compute slices for execution. A slice task, which includes a load instruction, is distributed to a current compute slice. The current compute slice can execute the slice task speculatively. A previously executed store instruction is committed to memory by a predecessor LSU. Address aliasing is checked between an address associated with the previously executed store instruction and the load address associated with the load instruction. The slice task running on the current compute slice can be cancelled when aliasing is detected.

  • Patent number: 12076239
Abstract: A method of assembling a prosthetic heart valve includes providing a collapsible and expandable stent having an annulus section and an aortic section. The annulus section has a first diameter in a relaxed condition and a second diameter less than the first diameter in a collapsed condition. A constraint is applied to the stent to constrain the annulus section to a predetermined diameter between the first and second diameters. Applying a cuff and/or a plurality of leaflets to the stent in the constrained condition enables less material to be used. The resultant prosthetic valve is therefore able to be collapsed to a smaller diameter for introduction into a patient.

  • Patent number: 11852018
Abstract: A nozzle includes an endwall connected to an airfoil at one of a tip and root of the airfoil. The endwall includes a first and second side slash faces at respective circumferential edges thereof. The endwall also includes an inner surface extending between the first and second side slash faces. The inner surface includes a first planar surface portion adjacent to the first side slash face, a second planar surface portion adjacent to the second side slash face, and an arcuate surface portion extending between the first and second planar surface portions. The planar surface portions reduce a chute height by reducing hot gas path curvature locally along the side slash faces, which reduces working fluid ingestion between endwalls of the adjacent nozzles. The planar surface portions can be applied to an inner and/or an outer endwall of a nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11728557
Abstract: A passive-intermodulation-mitigating mounting assembly for a fixture, such as can be affixed to a utility or communications monopole can include a first bracket and a second bracket respectively defining a first through hole and a second through hole. In some examples, a mounting plate supports an antenna or a radio. A fastener can extend through the first through hole and the second through hole, for instance to couple the first bracket with the second bracket to attach the mounting assembly to a fixture. The passive-intermodulation-mitigating mounting assembly can include a bushing that can be inserted into a through hole, and the bushing can physically and electrically isolate the fastener from one or more of the brackets. The isolation of the bushing helps inhibit the passive-intermodulation of the mounting assembly when the fastener extends, via the first bushing, through at least one of the through holes.

  • Patent number: 11617311
Abstract: Lignin formulations for making light-selective mulch, methods of making such lignin formulations, light-selective mulches comprising substrates treated with lignin formulations, and methods of making such light-selective mulches. Some methods involve preparing aqueous lignin formulations that can be used as coatings that, in turn, can be applied to a substrate, such as a paper web, to form a biodegradable, light-selective mulch. Some such mulches blocks at least some light in the ultraviolet and blue/green ranges (350 nm to 500 nm) of the visible light spectrum to inhibit weed growth below the mulch, while also transmitting light in the red/infrared ranges to heat the soil below the mulch.
