  • Publication number: 20160108320
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for treating oil sand. The steps consisting of cooling said oil sand to a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature of the bitumen by bringing said oil sand into contact with carbon dioxide in the solid state and applying mechanical energy to the mixture produced. Then melting the solid carbon dioxide in such a way as to produce a multiphase system. The multiphase system is then separated into at least one solid phase and at least one liquid phase. The bituminous phase is then recovered from the separated liquid phase. The invention also relates to a device for treating oil sand, especially designed for implementing said method.

  • Patent number: 6731615
Abstract: The invention relates in particular to a TDMA transmission system including transmitters synchronized to a single receiver, each of the transmitters being able to transmit to the receiver on a given carrier frequency bursts with lengths which are all multiples of that of a unit burst including a guard time, the unit bursts including at least one guard time and the receiver being adapted to receive simultaneously bursts from different transmitters. According to the invention, each transmitter includes means for inserting a filler sequence into each burst to be transmitted at each location of the burst that is likely to correspond to a guard time in a burst received simultaneously on a different carrier frequency. The invention reduces the harmful effects of interference if the time of reception of the guard time of a burst on a first carrier frequency corresponds to the time of reception of information symbols in another burst received simultaneously on another carrier frequency.

  • Patent number: 6690935
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of transmitting non-dated digital data between a transmitter and a receiver in which the data can take at least two different paths between the transmitter and the receiver and handover from one path to another occurs during transmission. In the transmitter, packets intended for the second path are transmitted only after the last packet intended for the first path has been transmitted and in the transmitter and in the receiver packets on the first or second path are delayed in order for packets on the second path to arrive after packets on the first path. It is therefore not necessary to transmit signaling to differentiate the two paths at the receiver, which can include a single demodulator.
