Threaded proximal portion (2) has a core (11) with a constant diameter and a proximal thread (12) with a constant diameter and a proximal pitch (P2). The threaded median portion (3) has a core (15), which is conical, with a diameter becoming increasingly larger from the distal end of the threaded median portion (3) to the proximal end thereof, and thread (16), which has a constant diameter smaller than the diameter of the thread (12) of the proximal threaded portion (2). The pitch of thread (16) of the threaded median portion (3) becomes increasingly smaller from the distal end of the threaded median portion (3) towards its proximal end. • Patent number: 7190388
Abstract: A videoconference terminal comprises image restoring means having a display arranged substantially horizontally. The terminal preferably has the shape of a well seat closed at one end by the display, thereby enabling a large number of users to distribute the space around the display. This makes the terminal an original and convivial communication equipment dedicated to informal communications between users distant from one another.

Abstract: The invention relates to an osteosynthesis plate for the osteosynthesis of small neighbouring bones. The inventive osteosynthesis plate (1) is dimensioned such that it can be positioned above the bones to be treated without resting on the larger neighbouring bones. According to the invention, the osteosynthesis plate comprises lateral holes (16) for the insertion of screws (6) which are used to fix same to the bones (2 to 5). The plate is characterised in that: (i) it comprises a flat face (10) which is intended to come into contact with the bones to be treated; and (ii) it comprises holes (16) for receiving screws (6), which have axes that are inclined in relation to the aforementioned flat face (10) and which are designed such that the inserted screws diverge towards the outside of the plate (1).

  • Publication number: 20050171613
Abstract: The prosthesis includes a main element wherein one part forms an articulation side, an element called the “radial” element and an intermediate sliding element. The articulation side that delimits the part of the main element is convex and presents a round form. The intermediate element forms a concave articulation side appropriate for cooperating with the convex articulation side that forms the main element, this concave articulation side presenting, in sectional view in the sagittal plane, that is in the plane in which the flexion and extension movement of the wrist takes place, a rounded circle form very slightly larger than that of the convex articulation side, and presenting, in sectional view in the frontal plane, that is in the plane in which the abduction and adduction of the hand takes place, a rounded circle form markedly larger than that of the convex articulation side.

Abstract: The implant includes two side walls resting against the vertebral end-plates and an intermediate wall joining the supporting walls. The implant can be deformed for insertion between the vertebrae to be treated to restore the attenuated mobility of the vertebrae, and includes mounting elements mounting on the vertebrae. The side walls have a curved shape, whose convexity is oriented towards the outside of the implant; the intermediate wall has a curved shape, whose convexity is oriented towards the outside of the implant such that it does not form any pronounced angles with the supporting side walls. The supporting side walls and the intermediate wall, have a partially oval shape; and the mounting elements are configured such that the implant can be mounted on the vertebrae.
