  • Publication number: 20060059939
Abstract: The present invention relates to a refrigerator having a shaved ice supplying device which includes an ice shaver for pulverizing ice cubes supplied from an ice storing box into shaved ice, and with a passageway structure for distributing the ice. The refrigerator comprises an ice supplying device to supply ice cubes, an ice shaver to pulverize the ice cubes, supplied from the ice supplying device, into shaved ice, and a dispenser adapted to allow the ice cubes supplied from the ice supplying device to be directly dispensed while allowing the shaved ice pulverized by the ice shaver to be dispensed.

  • Publication number: 20050247440
Abstract: A heat exchanger including upper and lower header tanks, a vertical baffle in the lower header tank defining first and second longitudinal chambers, a check valve, two tube rows, and a coolant inlet to the first chamber and outlet from the second chamber. The baffle includes a by-pass hole therethrough. One tube row includes a plurality of vertical tubes extending between the upper header tank and the first chamber of the lower header tank, and the other tube row includes a plurality of vertical tubes extending between the upper header tank and the second chamber of the lower header tank. The check valve creates a leak-proof seal during standard operating mode to prevent pressure release from the header tank and creates an air path between the header tank and the environment during draining mode to allow vacuum relief from the header tank.

  • Publication number: 20050230697
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of mass fabricating a hyperboloid-drum element which is uniform in size and with the diameter of an active layer (active region or gain medium) ranging from tens of nm to less than a few ?m, and to an element fabricated thereby. According to the present invention, the fabrication method of the hyperboloid-drum element comprises forming an epitaxial layer which includes an n-type semiconductor joined with a p-type semiconductor on a substrate and an active region near a border region and a boundary between the n-type semiconductor and the p-type semiconductor; and etching the epitaxial layer into a shape of the hyperboloid-drum having the minimum diameter at the active region by an ion-beam etching method. The hyperboloid-drum element fabricated in accordance with the present invention has advantages of uniformity in size and good reproducibility.

  • Publication number: 20050162235
Abstract: Disclosed are a waveguide type signal attenuator for attenuating an input signal as desired and a waveguide type signal terminator for making an input signal be utterly disappeared, where a manufacturing-easy resistor sheet is inserted into the center area, along which a traveling electromagnetic wave has the maximum intensity, of the signal attenuator and the signal terminator. In the signal terminator and the signal attenuator, a predetermined part of the waveguide which is formed in a lower conductive plate is expanded out along the half-height plane of the waveguide to form a resistor sheet setting groove and a portion of the elongated cavity positioned behind the resistor sheet setting groove forms a lower half of the waveguide. In addition, a resistor sheet is inserted between the resistor sheet setting groove and a protrusion part which protrudes from an upper conductive plate, of the half-height of the waveguide holds the resistor sheet to form an upper half portion of the waveguide.

  • Publication number: 20050122193
Abstract: Provided is a non-radiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide modulator having a waveguide type hybrid coupler, in which by forming a waveguide type 180° hybrid coupler and waveguides as a single body, the structure is simplified and manufacturing processes are reduced such that consistency of characteristics is maintained, manufacturing time and cost are reduced, and consequently, manufacturability is improved.
