The water tank includes a plurality of water storage containers to store water and at least one communication member through which the water storage containers communicate with each other. The water storage containers and the at least one communication member are integrally formed by injection molding. Joints are considerably reduced, thereby reducing manufacturing costs, simplifying a manufacturing process, and improving productivity.

Abstract: A refrigerator including: a freezer compartment; a drawer door to open/close the freezer compartment and has a storage box; and an ice maker installed at an upper side of the freezer compartment, the ice maker includes: an ice maker supporter combined with an upper wall of the freezer compartment; an electronic device case supported by the ice maker supporter and in which a driving motor is embedded; an ice-making tray supported by the electronic device case and; a temperature sensor installed adjacent to the ice-making tray to detect temperature; and a protection cover combined with the ice maker supporter to cover at least portions of a lower part of the ice-making tray and prevents an article stacked in the lower part of the ice-making tray from interfering with at least one of the ice-making tray, the temperature sensor, and the electronic device case when the drawer door slides.

A drainage duct is disposed between the ice making unit and the ice storage container adapted to prevent water drops from the ice making unit falling into the ice storage container. The drainage duct include at least one fixer configured to push the refrigerant pipe to a lower surface of the ice making tray to contact the refrigerant pipe with the lower surface of the ice making tray.

Abstract: A structure of an ice making compartment of a side by side type refrigerator to enhance ice making efficiency and to reduce energy consumption. The ice making compartment may be separately provided between a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment and be insulated from the refrigerating compartment and the freezing compartment. A portion of a refrigerant pipe is inserted into the inside of the ice making compartment so as to directly cool down the ice making compartment. A front opening of the ice making compartment can be closed by an ice bucket, and the ice bucket can be inserted into or drawn from the ice making compartment with being accessible without opening a refrigerating compartment door and a freezing compartment door.

Abstract: A refrigerator including an icemaker and an ice bucket provided at a door, a feeding unit to feed ice cubes stored in the ice bucket, a driving motor provided at a main body to drive the feeding unit, and a coupling device to transmit driving force from the driving motor to the feeding unit. When the door is closed, the driving motor is connected to the feeding unit. When the door is opened, the driving motor is disconnected from the feeding unit. Accordingly, the door has a simple structure, the ice bucket has an increased capacity, repair or replacement of the driving motor is easily achieved. The coupling device includes a first coupling unit and a second coupling unit which is engaged with the first coupling unit to receive driving force. The coupling device is configured to hide the coupling units when the door is opened.

In accordance with this structure, it is possible not only to insulate the refrigerant pipe, but also to easily insert the refrigerant pipe into the ice making chamber and to keep the refrigerant pipe in a firmly-supported state.

Abstract: A refrigerator includes an ice-making chamber, an ice bucket that can be slidably drawn into and out of the ice-making chamber, and a locking device that can lock the ice bucket, and the locking device may be provided in an upper wall of an inner case. Only a latch protrusion that protrudes upwardly is formed in the ice bucket so as to be coupled to the locking device, and therefore a structure of the ice bucket may be simplified, and an unnecessary opening may not be formed in the ice bucket, thereby preventing cool air of an inside of the ice bucket from leaking.

Abstract: A refrigerator in which an ice making chamber case including a horizontal wall, a vertical wall, a front opening and a front edge is coupled to an inside of an inner case, to form an ice making chamber. A case insulator is disposed in a wall space of the ice making chamber case. The case insulator is foamed separately from a body insulator which is foamed between inner and outer cases of a refrigerator body. Since the case insulator is foamed separately from the body insulator, it is possible to easily achieve foaming of the case insulator. It is also possible to prepare the ice making chamber case separately from molding of the inner case.

The refrigerator includes a storage compartment, a storage compartment door for opening/closing the storage compartment, and an ice maker including an ice making tray for producing pieces of ice, and a water dispense cup for dispensing water supplied from a water supply pipe to the ice making tray. A water guide section is formed in the water dispense cup to guide the water, which is supplied from the water supply pipe, to a region below the water supply pipe so that ice pieces are prevented from being accumulated in the water dispense cup.

Abstract: An ice making apparatus which includes an ice making tray to produce ice and an ejector rotatably disposed at the ice making tray, including a plurality of ice making cells formed in the ice making tray, wherein each of the ice making cells includes a freezing portion in which ice is produced and a buffering portion which is formed as a specified space at one side of the freezing portion to prevent water of the freezing portion from flowing out of the ice making tray. Accordingly, even in a refrigerator having the ice making apparatus installed on a rear surface of the door, the ice making apparatus can permanently provide an effect of preventing water inside the ice making cells from flowing out of the ice making tray due to an opening/closing operation of the door.

Abstract: A water purifying system having a bypass path supplies raw water to an outlet when a filter assembly is separated from a valve assembly. The water purifying system includes a valve assembly having a valve cover with an inlet and an outlet, and a head member moved up and down within the valve cover to form an inflow path and an outflow path, and a filter assembly removably connected to the valve assembly and mounted with a filter. When the filter assembly is connected to the valve assembly through a linear motion, the filter assembly advances the head member so that a fluid flown in through the inlet is guided to the outlet passing through the filter. When the filter assembly is separated from the valve assembly, the head member is retreated so that the fluid flown through the inlet is guided to the outlet bypassing the filter.

Abstract: A refrigerator is disclosed. The refrigerator includes a storage compartment, and a shelf assembly provided in the storage compartment to be vertically adjustable, wherein the shelf assembly includes a support unit provided to be movable obliquely, and a shelf unit which is mounted on the support unit to move up and down according to an oblique movement of the support unit. The refrigerator has a simple structure capable of lifting a shelf up and down, thereby facilitating the manufacture and reducing manufacturing costs.
