Abstract: A drum type washing machine is disclosed. The drum type washing machine includes a tub for holding wash water; a bearing housing laid in a rear wall of the tub, the bearing housing having a fastening groove part having a stator of a motor fastened thereto; and a contact-proof-part for preventing the fastening groove part of the bearing housing and a stator fastening part from being directly contacted with each other. An object of the present invention is to provide a drum type washing machine which can reduce noise generated by collision between a fastening groove part of a bearing housing and a stator fastening part by means of an improved structure of a tub.

Abstract: A method for water supply in a laundry device is disclosed. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for water supply in a laundry device which prevents detergent from remaining/being stuck in/to a dispenser body by discharging detergent/wash water more smoothly. A method for water supply in a laundry device includes (a) step for supplying water; (b) step for temporarily stopping water supply for a predetermined time in the middle of the water supply; and (c) step for re-starting water supply after the predetermined time and finishing water supply to a predetermined water level.

The fastening holes of the upper end portion are formed at the same height. An object of the present invention is to provide a hinge assembly for a door of a laundry device which can prevent damage or deformity thereof by dispersing the load of the door to each fastening portion of a hinge assembly.

If a transparent window is provided to a door on the washing machine, a comparatively great seating recess is required for easy seating of the transparent window. However, the great seating recess is likely to cause difficult in positioning the transparent window at a right position, to cause inconvenience of mounting. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to solve this problem.

The method includes the steps of generating an interruption command for braking a motor in motion during a wash cycle, applying a phase-reversed voltage to a voltage input terminal of the motor in motion, and electrically shorting the input terminal of the motor for a predetermined period of time if a second phase-reversed voltage generated by the motor is higher than or equal to a critical voltage level. Using such method, a motor-clutch mechanism is prevented front generating a noise and from being damaged during a wash cycle.
