  • Publication number: 20190220077
Abstract: A method and a management server located in the cloud, for enabling adaptive power management in a gateway system, are described. The management server receives, from the gateway system powered by a rechargeable battery that is coupled with a solar power source, a location measurement indicating the location of the gateway system at a first time. The management server determines a solar profile indicating a measure of the power expected to be generated by the solar power source at the location during an interval of time that occurs after the first time. The management server transmits the solar profile to the gateway system causing the gateway system to determine based on a current battery level of the rechargeable battery and the solar profile an optimal power usage plan for the gateway system and to operate according to the optimal power usage plan during the interval of time.

  • Patent number: 10265616
Abstract: A toy apparatus includes a base piece having a distal end, a movable elongated member having a first end and a second end, and a tether coupled to the first end of the movable elongated member. Tension applied to the tether moves the movable elongated member from an open first position to a closed second position. The toy apparatus is configured to freely slide on a surface due to momentum generated when an initial pushing force is applied to the toy apparatus. The tension applied to the tether causes the tether to become taut, without other human contact to the toy apparatus. In the closed second position, the second end of the movable elongated member is closer to the distal end of the base elongated member, and the base elongated member and the movable elongated member are capable of retaining a target piece.

  • Publication number: 20170363853
Abstract: A method of generating an image of a substantially translucent specimen includes illuminating and imaging the specimen based on light filtered by an optical element. A plurality of variably-illuminated relatively low resolution intensity images of the specimen are acquired for which content of the images corresponds to partially overlapping regions in frequency space. A relatively higher resolution image of the specimen is then reconstructed by iteratively updating overlapping regions of the relatively higher resolution image in Fourier space with the plurality of variably-illuminated, relatively lower resolution intensity images. The iterative updating processes the plurality of relatively lower resolution intensity images in a first sequence which progresses from a centre region of the relatively higher resolution image in increasing spatial frequency followed by a second sequence which progresses towards the centre region in decreasing spatial frequency.

  • Publication number: 20170354941
Abstract: An exemplary compounding method of controlling a compounding device to prepare an admixture of at least two distinct material sources can include examining material source solutions for incompatibility of the ingredients and operating a first and a second pump to prevent one of the incompatible source solutions from entering a common flow path. The processing method can detect degradation of a fluid line by evaluating one or more of calibration error rate data, cumulative volumetric flow data, or cumulative pump operation data. The processing method can also selectively transfer a first group of source solutions using the first pump, receiving pump data from one or more sensors that sense actions of the pumps, applying fluid correction factors and calculating discrete pump movements, the pump movements being indicative of an amount of source solution displacement by a pump, and operating the pumps to selectively dispense the source solution amounts according to a preparation order.
