  • Publication number: 20120118766
Abstract: A protective apparatus for an article, the apparatus including a surrounding sidewall having a first end portion and an opposing second end portion, the sidewall also having a perpendicularly oriented first margin portion and an opposing second margin portion, also with a primary interior. The interior includes a plurality of first and second chambers that are intersticed in position to one another. In addition, included is a plurality of particulate items loosely disposed within each of the first and second chambers and a structure for removable engagement positioned adjacent to the first and second margins. The removable engagement structure facilitates the first and second margins to be removably engaged allowing the surrounding sidewall to envelope the article. The primary interior can be evacuated, thus removing the air spaces between the particulate items and in the interior resulting in rigidifying the surrounding sidewall, thus protecting the article.

  • Publication number: 20120109268
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for treating tissue at or near a sphincter provide for transluminal introduction of an energy delivery device. The device includes a tissue compression member to compress target tissue at or near the sphincter. A radiofrequency energy source is coupleable to the delivery device to deliver radiofrequency energy to the target tissue. Energy is delivered to heat the tissue to a desired temperature. • Publication number: 20120084369
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for connecting a user to all of his resources (e.g. remote desktop or remote application) in a deployment of server farm(s). The user's client sends a message to the deployment requesting any disconnected resources for the user and/or any active resources communicating with a different client. The deployment determines what those resources are, then strips out redundant information (e.g. two resources are remote applications executing within the same session) and sends a stripped list to the client, which reconnects. The client first reconnects to a resource that is not a VM and stores any user input (e.g. credentials) prompted for during that log in. Then, it reconnects to the other resources in parallel, using in these later reconnections any input received from the client during the first reconnection.

Abstract: A wireless voice recognition control system for controlling the operation of an electric welder power supply by operator voice commands is disclosed. The system includes a remote module carried by the welder and a host module interfaced with the electric welder power supply. The remote module compares voice commands by the welder to preprogrammed voice command templates and operates to generate and broadcast a wireless signal when a spoken voice command matches a voice command template. The host module operates to receive the wireless signal and is configure to operate the electric welder power supply accordingly. In other embodiments, the host module and remote module operate to provide an audible feedback or acknowledgement to the welder. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20110004208
Abstract: Various embodiments provide an electrosurgical instrument with a disposable electrosurgical cartridge. In one embodiment, the cartridge has first and second energy-delivery surfaces that carry first and second opposing polarity conductors coupled to a voltage source, together with first and second temperature-responsive variable impedance bodies exposed partly in the respective-delivery surfaces. The cartridge further carries a slidable blade member. The temperature-responsive variable impedance bodies are coupled to the voltage source by series and parallel circuitry. In use, the variable impedance bodies are adapted to modulate current flow and ohmic heating in engaged tissue by providing controlled current paths in the tissue and through the variable impedance bodies as the temperature-responsive bodies sense the temperature of adjacent engaged tissue.

  • Patent number: 7654589
Abstract: A latching system including a latch assembly, a cup, and a keeper plate. The latch assembly includes a base, a lever, and a catch. The lever is pivotally connected to the base and the catch is pivotally connected to the lever. The base is pivotally attached to the cup such that it rotates about an axis of rotation that is perpendicular in direction in relation to the direction of the axis of rotation of the lever relative to the base. The keeper plate includes a keeper projection. The lever can be lifted and the latch assembly rotated about the axis of rotation of the base to clear the keeper from the catch and thereby allow the opening of a first closure member relative to a second closure member.
