It has a worm screw in the center of the apparatus, it also has teeth near the handles that interlock For clamping hair, it also has rubber pads for gripping hair while twisting it and a swivel nob for this two step process. Dreador would be wrought from aluminum alloy using hammer forging or drop forging alloyed with zinc, copper or nickel for strength and corrosion. A manufacturer would determine the most effective forging process.
