  • Publication number: 20240348458
Abstract: Methods and systems for verifying authority in distributed systems are disclosed. Authority may be delegated to various entities within a distributed system to invoke performance of operations within the distributed systems. To verify that authority has been delegated, a security framework may be used that limits computing resource consumption for the verifications. The computing resource consumption may be limited by using cryptographically verifiable data structures that establish chains of delegation of authority. The cryptographically verifiable data structures may be limited in size and content to reduce the computational cost for implementing the security framework.

  • Patent number: 12064546
Abstract: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems, apparatuses, and methods for operating the systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a negative pressure source, a connector port, at least one switch, and a controller. The negative pressure source is connected through the connector port to either (i) a wound dressing having a canister configured to store fluid aspirated from the wound or (ii) a wound dressing without a canister between the connector port and the wound dressing. The controller determines, based on a signal received from the at least one switch, whether the canister is positioned in the fluid flow path and adjusts one or more operational parameters of negative pressure wound therapy based on the determination. The switch is activated by the connection of either the canister or canisterless wound dressing to the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240247598
Abstract: A system and method are provided for storing and recovering electricity generated from conventional/renewable energy sources. A thermal energy storage vessel contains thermal storage fluid (“TSF”) comprising a eutectic ternary nitrate molten salt, induction heating elements, turbine pumps, a heat exchanger, and various data acquisition sensors like thermocouples and thermistors. The immersion heating elements receive the electricity generated from conventional and/or renewable energy source to heat the eutectic ternary nitrate molten salt to the desired temperature. Coiled tubing is deployed within the thermal containment vessel to be distribution systems for the power cycle working gas and heat exchange for the power cycle working gas. The power cycle working gas is delivered under pressure to a steam turbine or a gas turbine or industrial heat. The turbine converts the energy into mechanical shaft work to drive an electricity generator to produce electricity.

  • Publication number: 20240200875
Abstract: A heat exchange system includes cooling tubes that carry coolant and are placed on an external surface of a storage tank, which may be spherical, cylindrical, or other shape. The storage tank may be a cryogenic rocket fuel tank. The cooling tubes are bent to particular radius of curvatures that correspond to the varying curvatures of the storage tank. A network of spacers and bridge brackets with adjustable setscrews are used to precisely place the cooling tubes in correct positions on the external surface of the storage tank. Once placed in the desired position, the setscrews are adjusted to maximize the surface area contact between the cooling tubes and the exterior surface of the storage tank, resulting in optimal heat transfer without overstressing the materials of the tubing or the storage tank. The precisely positioned tubes may then be permanently affixed to the exterior surface of the storage tank using a cryogenic adhesive.
