  • Publication number: 20220020304
Abstract: Dynamically adjustable display systems for adjusting the position of a flexible display in response to ambient light. The display system includes a flexible display that is capable of reversibly bending along one or more bending axes. The display system further includes an adjustable support on which the flexible display is mounted, the adjustable support being able to selectively bend the flexible display. The display system includes photodetectors for detecting ambient light. The photodetectors may be positioned about a perimeter of the flexible display. A control unit in communication with the adjustable support and the plurality of photodetectors may cause the adjustable support to bend the flexible display in response to ambient light detected at the plurality of photodetectors.

  • Patent number: 11085469
Abstract: Various implementations include a fluidic oscillator array including at least two fluidic oscillators, each including an interaction chamber, fluid supply inlet, outlet nozzle, and feedback channels. The interaction chambers have a first and second attachment wall. Fluid streams flow from the fluid supply inlets, into the interaction chambers, and exit through the outlet nozzles. A feedback channel is coupled to each of the first and second attachment walls. Each feedback channel is in fluid communication with the interaction chamber and has an intermediate portion disposed between a first and second end of the feedback channels. Fluid from the fluid stream flows into the first ends of the respective feedback channels, causing the fluid stream to oscillate between the first and second attachment walls. Adjacent feedback channels of adjacent fluidic oscillators share a common intermediate portion, causing the exiting fluid streams of each fluidic oscillator to oscillate at the same frequency.

  • Patent number: 11022146
Abstract: There is provided a fan assembly comprising a motor-driven impeller for creating an airflow and a nozzle comprising a first air outlet. The nozzle defines a bore through which air from outside the fan assembly is drawn by any portion of the airflow that is emitted from the first outlet and which combines with the airflow emitted from the first air outlet to produce an amplified airflow. The fan assembly further comprises a second air outlet arranged such that any portion of the airflow that is emitted from the second air outlet does not draw air through the bore defined by the nozzle thereby producing a non-amplified airflow.

  • Publication number: 20210138626
Abstract: Described herein is a novel lanyard system for removable pieces connected to and detached from a piece receiver of a power tool. The system includes one or more lanyard assemblies, each with a two ended strap and a retraction system fixed to the tool all in a storage region outside of the tool. In particular, one end of the strap is connected to the piece and the other strap end is connected to one end of the retraction system. The other end of the retraction system is connected to the outside of the tool. The strap is of sufficient length for the retraction system to retract a piece to the storage region outside the tool after disconnection from the piece receiver. It is contemplated that the retraction system includes at least one spring assembly to cause the lanyard system to remain under tension while the piece is mounted in a piece receiver, thereby preventing or at least reducing the strap from interfering with the task at hand, the piece, the piece receiver or tool itself.

  • Patent number: 10990971
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for non-intrusive geo-location determination associated with transaction authorization. The invention enables one or more transactions initiated by a user to be authenticated and/or validated based on, at least in part, determined locations of the user relative to the locations of the one or more transactions. The user location is determined by transmitting one or more queries to a user device. The system determines the validity of the one or more transactions based on at least comparing the transaction location to the user location, before enabling further processing of the one or more transactions. The present invention is advantageous since it enables authentication/authorization of one or more transactions associated with the user by utilizing the user location, while precluding any inadvertent privacy concerns.
