  • Patent number: 11416814
Abstract: This disclosure describes a device and system for verifying the content of items in a bin within a materials handling facility. In some implementations, a bin content verification apparatus may pass by one or more bins and capture images of those bins. The images may be processed to determine whether the content included in the bins has changed since the last time images of the bins were captured. A determination may also be made as to whether a change to the bin content was expected and, if so, if the determined change corresponds with the expected change.

  • Publication number: 20220252200
Abstract: In a mobile system for pipe rehabilitation, a tractor moves a motorized electrical cutter inside a pipe. The cutter is used to remove a blockage from a branch conduit connected to the main pipe. A power management system powers the mobile system, including the cutter, from a direct current power source with an input current having a voltage less than 60V. The power management system powers the electrical cutter by discharging current from the supercapacitor module to the cutter. Power to other components is provided without discharge from the supercapacitor module and is not interrupted by supercapacitor discharge to the cutter. The power management system can include a housing for the supercapacitor module with a first connector at one end for connecting to an umbilical cord and a second connector an opposite end for connecting to the tractor.

  • Patent number: 11385019
Abstract: A double-walled handguard for a firearm includes an inner tube and an outer tube connected by longitudinally-extending struts. A circumferential gap is formed between the inner and outer tubes. The handguard can be extruded as a blank and feature such as accessory rails and accessory mounting apertures can be machined into the blank to arrive at the desired configuration. Vent holes may be machined into the outer tube to provide a venting path for hot air in the circumferential gap. The double-walled handguard is expected to have increased strength compared to a single-walled handguard and better shield the user's hands from heat generated by the barrel of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 11370531
Abstract: A configurable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may include swappable components that may be selectable to configure a customized UAV just prior to deployment of the UAV that is configured to deliver a package to a destination. The UAV may include a plurality of ports that may accept swappable components. The ports may be coupled to a logic board to enable control of the swappable components. The ports and swappable components may enable quick replacement of a malfunctioning components, such as an image sensor, which may avoid subjecting a UAV to significant downtime for service. The malfunctioning component may then be serviced after the UAV is readied for a subsequent flight or deployed on a subsequent flight.

  • Patent number: 11365953
Abstract: The disclosure provides a mounting assembly for a handguard mounted on a barrel nut of a firearm. The handguard defines a gap over a portion of the barrel nut and includes first and second portions at respective first and second sides of the gap. The mounting assembly includes a tie rod extending between the first and second sides of the gap along a longitudinal axis of the tie rod and a first fastener, distinct from the tie rod, interconnecting a first end of the tie rod to the first portion of the handguard. A second end of the tie rod is interconnected to the second portion of the handguard and actuation of the first fastener in a tightening direction draws the first and second portions of the handguard toward each other and generates tension in the tie rod.

  • Patent number: 11352833
Abstract: A barrier assembly for preventing items from falling behind domestic appliances and a method of using the same is provided. The barrier assembly provides one or more mesh nets, each mesh net extending between two pivotable columns. Each pivotal column is mounted to spaced apart surfaces along an upper periphery of an appliance. As a result, each independent mesh net may be pivoted to different angles of incident relative to the upper surface of the appliance so as to close off the space between that portion of the periphery of the appliance and an adjacent wall, preventing item from falling therein.

The handguard includes first and second clearance apertures and the index block includes first and second threaded apertures. The first and second fasteners extend through the respective first and second clearance apertures and threaded into the respective first and second threaded apertures. The first and second fasteners define respective first and second longitudinal axes that are non-parallel and non-collinear with each other. Tightening the first and second fasteners with respect to the index block secures the handguard to the index block and prevents movement of the handguard relative firearm.
