  • Patent number: 9313488
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method of controlling a video decoder, including a reviewing channel data representing coded video data generated by an encoder to identify parameters of a hypothetical reference decoder (HRD) used by the encoder during coding operations. A parameter representing an exit data rate requirement of a coded picture buffer (CPB) of the HRD is compared against exit rate performance of the video decoder. If the exit rate performance of the video coder matches the exit rate requirement of the HRD, the coded video data is decoded, otherwise, a certain decoding degradation scheme can be applied, including disabling decoder from decoding the coded video data.

  • Publication number: 20160072962
Abstract: A network element of an Internet Protocol multimedia subsystem buffers network resource usage information in the cloud. After generating network resource usage information based on an observation of network resource usage, the network element transmits the network resource usage information to a cloud-based storage service for buffering. Once a network resource usage collection function is available, the network element retrieves the network resource usage information from the cloud-based storage service and transmits it to a charging collection function for generation of call detail records.

  • Patent number: 9275633
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for providing validated text-to-speech correction hints from aggregated pronunciation corrections received from text-to-speech applications. A number of pronunciation corrections are received by a Web service. The pronunciation corrections may be provided by users of text-to-speech applications executing on a variety of user computer systems. Each of the plurality of pronunciation corrections includes a specification of a word or phrase and a suggested pronunciation provided by the user. The pronunciation corrections are analyzed to generate validated correction hints, and the validated correction hints are provided back to the text-to-speech applications to be used to correct pronunciation of words and phrases in the text-to-speech applications.

  • Publication number: 20160038954
Abstract: A mist generating apparatus is provided. The apparatus has a longitudinal axis and comprises first and second opposing surfaces which define a transport fluid nozzle between them. The apparatus also has a working fluid passage having a supply passage connectable to a supply of working fluid, and an outlet on one of the first and second surfaces. The working fluid outlet communicates with the transport fluid nozzle. The transport fluid nozzle has a nozzle inlet connectable to a supply of transport fluid, a nozzle outlet, and a throat portion intermediate the nozzle inlet and nozzle outlet. The nozzle throat has a cross sectional area which is less than that of either the nozzle inlet or the nozzle outlet. The transport fluid nozzle projects radially from the longitudinal axis such that the nozzle defines a rotational angle of at least 5 degrees about the longitudinal axis. A method of generating a mist using the apparatus is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9245013
Abstract: Network system provides a real-time adaptive recommendation set of documents with a high statistical measure of relevancy to the requestor device. The recommendation set is optimized based on analyzing text of documents of the interest set, categorizing these documents into clusters, extracting keywords representing the themes or concepts of documents in the clusters, and filtering a population of eligible documents accessible to the system utilizing site and or Internet-wide search engines. The system is either automatically or manually invoked and it develops and presents the recommendation set in real-time. The recommendation set may be presented as a greeting, notification, alert, HTML fragment, fax, voicemail, or automatic classification or routing of customer e-mail, personal e-mail, job postings, and offers for sale or exchange.

  • Publication number: 20150131712
Abstract: Scalable video coding and multiplexing compatible with non-scalable decoders is disclosed. In some embodiments, video data is received and encoded in a manner that renders at least a base layer to be compatible with a non-scalable video encoding standard, including by assigning for at least the base layer default values to one or more scalability parameters. In some embodiments, video data is received and encoded to produce an encoded video data that includes a base layer that conforms to a non-scalable video encoding standard and one or more subordinate non-scalable layers, which subordinate non-scalable layers do not by themselves conform to the non-scalable video encoding standard but which can he combined with the base layer to produce a result that does conform to the non-scalable video encoding standard, such that the result can be decoded by a non-scalable decoder.

  • Patent number: 9027128
Abstract: Uniform resource locators (URLs) that include strings matching known malicious budget codes are deemed to be malicious URLs. Compromised websites and compromised IP addresses are identified from the malicious URLs. URLs obtained from network traffic to compromised domain names or compromised IP addresses are inspected to identify candidate budget codes. Candidate budget codes that are confirmed to be malicious budget codes are included in a watch list, which may be distributed to endpoint computers to detect phishing attacks.

  • Patent number: 9005628
Abstract: The present invention is directed to analgesic Clostridial neurotoxin derivatives comprising polypeptides having a long-lasting SNARE protein-selective endopeptidase activity. These derivatives selectively bind to and are internalized by non-neuronal cells secreting cytokines or sensory neurons in preference to motor neurons or autonomic neurons. The invention is also directed to nucleic acid constructs encoding such polypeptides, and methods of making such derivatives and nucleic acid constructs, and methods of treating pain, such as chronic pain, by administering such derivatives to a patient suffering from, or at risk of suffering from such pain.
