Publication number: 20240109680Abstract: A cleaner assembly for an apparatus for making pouch products includes a cleaner roller and a poker roller. The cleaner roller may counter rotate with a rotatable drum of the apparatus, in contact with an upper surface of a first elastic layer on the rotatable drum, and at a greater tangential speed than at least one surface of an outer circumferential surface of the rotatable drum or an upper surface of the first elastic layer. The poker roller includes projections that are each configured to extend into one or more divots of the rotatable drum. The poker roller may counter rotate with the rotatable drum and at a same tangential speed as the at least one surface such that the projections extend into and out of separate, respective divots of the rotatable drum based on the counter rotation of the poker roller and the rotatable drum.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: Altria Client Services LLCInventors: Jarrod W. Publication number: 20230215248Abstract: Mid-air ultrasonic haptic devices operate by manipulating an acoustic field to produce a haptic effect on a user. Addressing mid-air haptic devices which abstracts the most basic acoustic fundamental from that of a point to a “primitive” provides tools to adjust shape, location, and amplitude. A primitive can be designed to provide a haptic effect at the location targeted, removing the requirement of the designer needing to understand methods to create a haptic sensation. Further, a control scheme for a set of dynamic acoustic phased-array solvers is presented which enables a distributed system to compensate for unwanted time-of-flight artifacts at low cost. This is achieved by recursively subdividing the system into subtrees of phased-array nodes whose output can be estimated and the desired field drive distributed amongst the nodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 2, 2023Publication date: July 6, 2023Inventors: Will Lowther, James Powell, Andy Martin, Ryan Page, Brian Kappus, Benjamin John Oliver Long

Publication number: 20220404332Abstract: An improved system and apparatus for testing thermal fluids in which the condition of a heat transfer fluid is measured. The system includes a sample vessel with a sample inlet for receiving a sample of heat transfer fluid from the heat transfer system and a sample outlet for returning the sample of heat transfer fluid to the heat transfer system, a heat transfer fluid condition monitor in fluid contact with the sample vessel measures one or more physical parameters of the heat transfer fluid and a control system which controls operation of the condition monitor and the sample vessel and which analyses the measured physical parameters of the heat transfer fluid. The system provides for predictive maintenance which is significantly more cost effective than preventative maintenance. It also ensures, as far as possible, that preventative maintenance can also be carried out while the system is running in normal production mode.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2020Publication date: December 22, 2022Inventors: Timothy James Powell, Daniel John Wynne Ellis, Clive Jones
