  • Patent number: 11353824
Abstract: A replaceable unit for an electrophotographic image forming device includes a housing having a reservoir for holding toner. An electrical connector is positioned on a first side of the housing. The electrical connector includes an electrical contact for contacting a corresponding electrical contact in the image forming device and a magnetic sensor electrically connected to the electrical contact. The electrical connector is movable between a first position and a second position. When the electrical connector moves from the first position to the second position, the electrical contact of the replaceable unit moves from a retracted position to an operative position. When the electrical connector moves from the first position to the second position, the magnetic sensor moves from a misaligned position to an aligned position with a point in a path of movement of a magnet for sensing a magnetic field of the magnet.

  • Patent number: 11338593
Abstract: A method is disclosed for reducing the scatter of UV light during a final curing operation in the three-dimensional printing on the surface of transparent and semi-transparent media. The method precisely controls the movement of media during a final cure step in the printing of an expressed inkjet image on the surface of transparent media. The method also controls a number of factors during final curing operation such as the lateral movement of media under a final cure lamp, the number of rotations that media undergoes during final curing, the timely modulation of UV lamp power during final curing, and the selection of UV emitter segments positioned away from a inkjet print head to reduce the amount of potential UV radiation from impinging upon one or more of the adjacent printing heads.

  • Patent number: 11340554
Abstract: A toner cartridge according to one example includes first and second alignment guides that extend outward from a first side and a second side of the toner cartridge, respectively, for positioning the toner cartridge. The first and second alignment guides define a pivot axis about which the toner cartridge is pivotable relative to an imaging unit when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit. An engagement member is positioned on a rear of the toner cartridge for receiving a bias force for biasing the toner cartridge about the pivot axis when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit. The engagement member is positioned next to the bottom of the housing. The engagement member includes an angled contact surface that faces upward and rearward for contacting a corresponding hold-down on the imaging unit when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit.

  • Patent number: 11327265
Abstract: A clamp assembly includes a first clamp half-piece and a second clamp half-piece. In one example, the clamp half-pieces are identically shaped. In one example, each of the clamp half-pieces has at least one integral pin and at least one aperture. The first and second clamp half-pieces are pivotally connected to each other via a first snap-fit interface in which the integral pin of the first clamp half-piece snap-fits into the at least one aperture of the second clamp half-piece. The clamp assembly can also include a link arm connected to the first clamp half-piece via a second snap-fit interface. A lever arm can also be included that is pivotally connected to the link arm via a third snap-fit interface. The clamp assembly does not require separate link pins or other parts and only includes four components: the clamp half-pieces, the link arm, and the lever arm.

  • Patent number: 11312158
Abstract: A printing and partial curing process for 3D objects that avoids print fouling due to scattered UV light. The process uses the steps of expressing an image from an inkjet printing head onto the surface of a rotating piece of transparent media, rotating the media surface along a single rotational axis away from the inkjet printing head to allow full wetting of an expressed image onto the media surface, and further rotating the media surface so that the expressed image enters a shaped ultraviolet illumination beam field that causes the partial curing of the image so that said image is held in place on the surface during continued rotation as additional ink is applied to the surface. The partial curing or “pinning” lamp is precisely positioned so that ultraviolet beam field avoids impinging on the inkjet print heads so that fouling does not occur.

  • Patent number: 11308272
Abstract: A computing system runs a productivity application that maintains an integrated, time ordered revision/undo stack. Entries in the revision/undo stack identify revision operations that a user has made to a document and corresponding undo operations that can be executed to undo the revision operation. The computing system detects an undo input indicative of a user actuating un undo actuator to undo a previous operation, that is prior to a most current operation that the user has performed. An operational transform system identifies an undo operation in the undo stack, corresponding to the revision that the user selected in the revision/undo stack. The operational transform system traverses the revision/undo stack to identify subsequent operations that were performed subsequent to the previous operation, and identifies one or more transforms to be applied to the undo operation based upon the identified subsequent operations.
