    Abstract: Porous and microporous parts prepared by additive manufacturing as disclosed herein are useful in medical and non-medical applications. The parts are prepared from a composition containing both a solvent soluble component and a solvent insoluble component. After a part is printed by an additive manufacturing process it is exposed to solvent to extract solvent soluble component away front the printed part, resulting in a part having surface cavities.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for joining photonic components. A method includes suspending nano-particles in a medium, wherein the nano-particles include metal nano-particles. The method further includes applying a layer of the nano-particle medium to a first substrate, and exposing the layer of nano-particle medium to a thermal process to remove at least a portion of the medium and expose the nano-particles. A second substrate is placed on the nano-particles in alignment with the first substrate, and a heat is applied to the nano-particles to cause connection of contact points between adjacent nano-particles to cause a secure alignment of the first and second substrates. The heat applied to the layer of nano-particles is less than 300° C.

The adaptive pre-read manager compares a set of threshold operating differences to a set of differences between multiple operating conditions during the first pass of programming and current operating conditions. The adaptive pre-read manager performs an internal pre-read of the programmed first subset of data bits. The adaptive pre-read manager performs a second pass of programming using the internal pre-read and a second subset of data bits from the first set of data bits.
