  • Publication number: 20190106314
Abstract: A fluid container having a body, a handle arranged in a top section of the body, a flow trigger in the handle, and a safety trigger that interacts with the flow trigger and prevents activation of the flow trigger. A vent assembly is arranged in the body and is configured to b activated by the safety trigger to vent the body. A spout assembly is movably coupled to the body and rotates between a use position and a storage position. A first valve opens as the spout assembly is moved from the storage position to the use position and a second valve is arranged upstream of the first valve to control fluid flow into the spout assembly. A linkage mechanism is arranged between the flow trigger and the second valve and configured to open the second valve when the flow trigger is activated and the safety trigger is released.

  • Patent number: 10175263
Abstract: A sample vessel retention mechanism for an inverted microscope having an optical objective and a scanning probe microscope (SPM) head. The inverted microscope includes a platform for supporting a sample vessel, in which is formed an aperture sized to provide a passage for the objective of the inverted microscope to approach the sample vessel from below. The retention mechanism provides a vacuum region formed in the platform, with the vacuum region being barometrically coupled with a vacuum generator. Establishment of a vacuum in the vacuum region prevents or substantially reduces oscillation of the sample vessel floor in an operating frequency range of the SPM head.

  • Publication number: 20180293522
Abstract: A travel booking system abstracts the user from a travel search of web and internet searches initiated by the user and the search result of those searches to present the user with a consistent interface for both entry and results. As part of the abstraction the search introduces elements of one or more traveller profiles to delineate the searches. The user may investigate the search results for a trip or alternate route options returned by a search to further direct the search or to book a search result and when a booked itinerary is returned may load this to a traveller's device together with other assistance for phases of the trip.

  • Patent number: 10049100
Abstract: For automated text processing, the inventors devised, among other things, an exemplary system that automatically extracts financial events from various unstructured text based sources, such as press releases and news articles. Extracted events, such as mergers & acquisitions, earnings guidance reports, and actual earnings announcements, are represented as structured data records which can be linked, searched, and displayed and used as a basis for controlling accessing to the source documents and other related financial documents for named entities.

  • Publication number: 20170278024
Abstract: A method of monitoring the expenses of a traveller during the progress of an itinerary utilises a mobile device equipped with NFC for carrying out the financial transactions associated with the itinerary and storing details of the financial transaction on a mobile device associated with the traveller, and updating a corporate ERP or similar financial database with the financial transactions to allow allocation to cost centres. The itinerary may be laid out in terms of itinerary events, each of which may be tracked by an NFC connection with an NFC device at an expected location and date for the itinerary event.

  • Publication number: 20150332176
Abstract: A travel booking system calculates the comfort level of a traveller for a trip by including factors for each sector of a trip, such as an aircraft seat pitch and seat width, the flight time of a flight sector, the travel distance at any airport transits en route, the confusion level at an airport, the facilities available at a hotel, the cost of the trip, the corporate travel requirements, the travellers own preferences, and factoring these together by a process as shown to arrive at an overall comfort level. From this alternative travel routes can be compared to allow a choice of a trip route which will be as comfortable as possible and meet a required cost level.

  • Patent number: 9176010
Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring, collecting, and processing the temperatures of a number of hot junctions in a thermocouple sensor array simultaneously comprises means for measuring the temperature of one or more reference junctions and means for collecting, processing, storing, and transmitting data collected from an array of thermocouple temperature sensors. The measured temperature(s) of the one or more reference junctions is used to correct the measured voltage in each of a plurality of thermocouple circuits to obtain accurate hot junction temperature measurements. The apparatus and method are particularly useful for collecting and processing temperature data from various locations within engines such as turbine, rocket, and internal combustion engines.
