  • Patent number: 9486239
Abstract: A subintimal recanalization catheter, including an elongate shaft including a first tubular member and a penetration member slidably disposed in a lumen of the first tubular member. The penetration member includes a distal tip positioned proximal of a distal nose of the first tubular member. The distal nose of the first tubular member includes a ramp and a guide wire lumen extending through the distal nose of the first tubular member. Longitudinal movement of the penetration member relative to the first tubular member causes the penetration member to contact the ramp to direct the distal tip of the penetration member away from the first tubular member.

  • Publication number: 20160277864
Abstract: Waveform display control techniques of visual characteristics are described. In one or more examples, a method is described of increasing user efficiency in identifying particular sounds in a waveform display of sound data without listening to the sound data. Sound data received by a computing device is partitioned to form a plurality of sound data time intervals. A signature is computed for each of the plurality of sound data time intervals by the computing device based on features extracted from respective said sound data time intervals. The computed signatures are mapped by the computing device to one or more colors. Output of a waveform in a user interface is controlled by the computing device, in which the waveform represents the sound data and each of the sound data time intervals in the waveform have the mapped one or more colors.

  • Patent number: 9436731
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with index-based optimization of geometric figured-related queries are described. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving two points selected from a corpus of spatial data. A hierarchical index on the data is accessed to choose candidate nodes. The index is a hierarchical arrangement of nodes arranged in paths from root node entries to leaf node entries such that each node is contained in all nodes in a path leading to the node. The method includes determining a spatial relationship between the two points and the candidate nodes in the index. The candidate nodes are a proper subset of the nodes in the index, such that the spatial relationship is not determined between the two points and some non-candidate nodes. A candidate node is selected based on the determined angles for processing related to construction of a geometric figure describing the spatial data.

  • Publication number: 20160157133
Abstract: A throttling mechanism for downlink transmission control is disclosed, in which, in one aspect, a downlink low data-rate transmission may be received at a user equipment (UE). The UE may then measure a performance metric indicating performance of the downlink low data-rate transmission. The UE controls the downlink low data-rate transmission by dynamically adjusting the number of receiving antennas in use in response to comparison results of the performance metric and a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20160131388
Abstract: A method and system for providing actionable options, particularly reporting options, to a user of a building automation system via a user interface (UI) based on a current context of the user includes the system identifying contextual information associated with the UI in a building automation system. A list of predefined (reporting) options is then ranked based on a relevance of each of the predefined options to the contextual information. The ranked list is then presented to the UI. Ranking is achieved by assigning a relevance score to each of the predefined options based on the relevance of metadata associated with the predefined options to the contextual information associated with the UI. The contextual information includes source data from components and devices of the system associated with the user interface. A computer-readable device to store instructions executable by a processor to perform the operations described herein is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9298600
Abstract: A memory address space for each of a plurality of physical memories in a microprocessor-based system is allocated prior to knowing the desired logical size of at least one of the physical memories. At least two of the allocated memory address spaces overlap at least a portion of each other. After the system is fabricated, a pointer value set that corresponds to an address boundary between at least two physical memories of the fabricated system is set during boot time and/or during run time when the size of the physical memories are known. The technique provides a faster time-to-market for microprocessor-based systems by allowing, for example, Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) comprising microprocessor systems on-chip be manufactured prior to the final firmware and software being fully developed. Additionally, the subject matter disclosed herein permits changes in memory-space allocation for finalized ASIC designs.

  • Publication number: 20160085892
Abstract: A method of determining the impact resistance of a structure including a crushable material comprises the steps of determining for one or more layers of a finite element of the material during an impact whether the element or layer thereof is to be treated as failing by crushing. If the element or layer is determined to fail by crushing, a load-bearing portion of the structure is defined and the load-bearing portion is treated for the purpose of subsequent calculations as exhibiting an ongoing resistance.
