  • Patent number: 5795741
Abstract: This invention relates to novel Eimeria proteins with immunogenic properties as well as to DNA sequences encoding these proteins. These proteins can be administered to poultry thereby protecting the birds against coccidiosis. In addition the DNA encoding these proteins can be used for the preparation of a vector vaccine against coccidiosis.

  • Patent number: 5602026
Abstract: A method for maintaining hepatocytes in culture includes providing the hepatocytes with a support, the support including extracellular matrix, the support having a configuration that permits each of at least a portion of the hepatocytes to form at least one apical surface and at least two discrete basal surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5284370
Abstract: A gate latch for selectively securing a pivoting gate to a stationary member and selectively retaining the gate in a closed position. The gate latch is formed of a hollow tube and is received on a vertical component of the gate. The hollow tube includes an elongate opening with a first width section and a second width section. The second width section is radially wider than the first width section. A horizontal component of the gate extends through the tube elongate opening and acts as a stop member for limiting both longitudinal and radial movement of the tube. A U-shaped bar is affixed to the hollow tube and forms two arms extending therefrom adapted for engaging the stationary member. The gate is retained closed by placing the stop member in the first width section and effectively preventing radial movement of the gate latch.

  • Patent number: 4761796
Abstract: The spread spectrum communication system terminal comprises a first subsystem including a first arrangement to encode a locally generally digital data with an error correcting code, a second arrangement for spectrum spreading of the encoded locally generated digital data in at least one mode of operation of the communication system terminal, a third arrangement to receive remotely generated error correcting code encoded digitla data spectrum spread in the one mode of operation and a fourth arrangement to recover the remotely generated digital data. In addition, a second subsystem includes a fifth arrangement frequency hopping the encoded locally generated digital data prior to transmission to a remote location and a sixth arrangement frequency dehopping the encoded remotely generated digital data received from the remote location.

  • Patent number: 4413733
Abstract: A device for holding nested bell and plain end push on joint pipes in a fixed position utilizing a novel frame work of simple members fastened firmly together. The inner pipe may be held concentrically or eccentrically with respect to the outer pipe.Padding may be added to protect inside coatings, and safety strapping offers added security that allows an abrasion resistant sheet to be held in place until disassembly occurs.
