  • Patent number: 11244080
Abstract: A method is provided. The method may include displaying content on a touch screen of the computing device, wherein the touch screen comprises a flexible touch screen display, detecting an obstruction of the content on one or more areas of the touch screen, wherein a user's view of the content is obstructed by the obstruction, determining obstructed content in the areas based on the detected obstruction, and determining a display configuration for a portion of the obstructed content. The method may further include detecting a deformed condition of the touch screen in which the obstruction is positioned within a display angle of the image projection device, rendering display content for concurrent display with unobstructed content of the touch screen, wherein the rendered display content corresponds to the obstructed content, and projecting the rendered display content onto the obstruction for viewing in superposition within a user's field of view.

  • Patent number: 11240434
Abstract: A method of removing a mobile airborne device from a field of view of a primary camera. A sensor associated with a primary camera detects a mobile airborne device within a field of view of the primary camera, where a three-dimensional physical space is within the field of view of the primary camera. A signal generator generates a signal that, when received by the mobile airborne device, causes the mobile airborne device to exit the three-dimensional physical space. A transmitter transmits the signal to the mobile airborne device to cause the mobile airborne device to exit the three-dimensional physical space that is within the field of view of the primary camera.

  • Patent number: 11238235
Abstract: From a natural language document using a natural language concept analyzer, a set of natural language input concepts is extracted. Using a query generation model, a query corresponding to the set of natural language input concepts is generated. From a set of natural language results using the natural language concept analyzer, a set of natural language output concepts is extracted, a result in the set of natural language results comprising a portion of narrative text within a natural language corpus, the result identified by searching the natural language corpus using the query. Using the set of natural language input concepts and the set of natural language output concepts, a novelty concept is scored, the scored novelty concept comprising a degree to which a natural language input concept in the set of natural language input concepts is external to a boundary defined by the set of natural language output concepts.

  • Patent number: 11240313
Abstract: Personal electronic devices are organized into a personal electronic device network. One of the personal electronic devices is designated as a device management hub. Based on contextual information from the personal electronic device network, a current activity of a user is predicted, and based on the predicted current user activity and the contextual information, one or more hierarchy is cognitively derived. The device management hub uses one of the hierarchy to contextually assign user input to one of the personal electronic devices for processing. Cognitively predicting the current user activity can include analyzing, by the device management hub, contextual information from the personal electronic devices.

  • Patent number: 11227035
Abstract: On a device, application usage information is monitored. From an analysis of the application usage information, an application usage pattern information is constructed. A pattern in the application usage pattern information identifies a second application in a second set of applications, wherein the second application is concurrently active with a first application in the first set of applications during an activity on the device. From a current activity on the device, the current activity having a degree of similarity above a threshold degree of similarity to the activity of the pattern in the application usage pattern information is detected. For user interaction responsive to the detecting, at least two applications selected based on the pattern are activated.

  • Patent number: 11209830
Abstract: Detecting potential safety issues is provided. An image is received from an imaging device located on a vehicle. The image is analyzed to identify an object. The object identified in the image is compared with images of objects stored in a database to determine a potential safety issue associated with the object. A set of protective roadway barriers is identified in an area of the vehicle and the object. An adjustment to operation of the vehicle is calculated based on the potential safety issue and the set of protective roadway barriers. The operation of the vehicle is adjusted based on the calculated adjustment.

Abstract: An embodiment includes receiving, by one or more processors, a scene reference that corresponds to a reference state of the scene. The embodiment also includes comparing, by one or more processors, the candidate portion and the scene reference such that the comparing provides an indication of an irregularity in the candidate portion. The embodiment also includes responsive to the indication of the irregularity in the candidate portion, automatically evaluating the irregularity, using one or more processors, such that the evaluating generates a severity value associated with the irregularity. The embodiment also includes, responsive to the generating of the severity value, automatically initiating, by one or more processors, a selected remedial action from among a plurality of remedial action options based at least in part on the severity value, wherein the automatic initiation of the selected remedial action includes automatic actuation of an element of video production equipment.

  • Patent number: 11182751
Abstract: A method and system for recycling electronic waste is provided. The method includes detecting electronic devices at a location of a user of a mobile device. Identification data identifying each electronic device is retrieved and a status for each device is determined. The electronic devices are analyzed with respect to electronic waste data and values for the electronic devices are determined with respect to recycling options. A score for each electronic device is generated and a comparative analysis is executed for the electronic devices with respect to the values and recycling options. Recommendations associated with the values and recycling options are generated and presented to the user via the mobile hardware device. The user selects a recycling option with respect to the recommendations and a recycling process associated with the recycling option selection is enabled.

  • Patent number: 11176813
Abstract: An approach for analyzing and predicting a pattern of debris accumulation in area based on a deviation in mobility pattern. The approach includes receiving data from one or more sensors from an area and identifying objects based on the received data. The approach determines whether the received data is a first instance and stores the data. Based on the stored data, the approach analyzes, via machine learning, a mobility pattern associated with the retrieved data. Furthermore, the approach generates an actionable task list based on the analyzed data and instructs one or more computing devices based on the actionable task list.

  • Patent number: 11170779
Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable communication of audio messages using augmented reality. More specifically, a set of captured messages are analyzed to determine, for each message of the set of messages, whether the message is relevant to a user. At least one message of the set of messages is associated with a real-world object over which to display the at least one message in an augmented reality environment. A time limit is assigned to the at least one message based on the analyzed relevance to the user. In the case that a current time is within the time limit, the at least one message is displayed on a display of a mobile device associated with the user when a camera of the mobile device is directed at the real-world object associated with the at least one message.
