  • Patent number: 10783584
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods may provide for generating, maintaining, and using an inventory for insurance purposes. An optimized inventory analysis server may generate and maintain user profile information for determining a demographic classification of each user associated with an inventory. A demographic classification for a given user may be used along with data related to items owned by other users to determine one or more items for recommendation to the given user. Details associated with existing insurance coverage levels may also be used to recommend new insurance products to the user. In addition, the optimized inventory analysis server may determine a depreciated value of each item within an inventory. These values may be used to assess loss and settle an insurance claim for damage to one or more of the items in the inventory.

  • Patent number: 10699350
Abstract: Systems and methods for the automatic exchange of insurance information in response to a collision event are provided. A wireless communication device may collect telematics data related to operation of a vehicle. The wireless communication device may detect the occurrence of a collision event involving the vehicle based on the telematics data collected. The wireless communication device may discover another wireless communication device locating in the vicinity of the collision event that has also detected a collision event. The wireless device may initiate an exchange of insurance information with that other wireless communication device. Other types of information may be exchanged between the wireless devices as well as between an insurance system in signal communication with the wireless devices in response to a collision event.

  • Patent number: 10504190
Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for an automated system for analyzing damage to insured property. A server may receive images of a scene (e.g., a room, house, apartment, etc.) from a user at a mobile device. The server may analyze the images to create a holistic view of the scene. The server and/or mobile device may be able to generate dimensions of the scene and compare those dimensions to the dimensions of a damaged property at the scene to determine the extent of damage to the property. The server may also be able to detect gaps between images as it creates the holistic view of the scene.

  • Patent number: 10417713
Abstract: Sensors installed at a vehicle may automatically detect that a disturbance event, such as a collision, has occurred at the vehicle. A disturbance response module installed at the vehicle may automatically determine whether the vehicle was running and whether the vehicle was moving when the disturbance event occurred. The disturbance response module may determine that the vehicle was parked in response to a determination that the vehicle was not running and not moving when the disturbance event occurred. A communication module installed at the vehicle may automatically transmit a notification message that indicates a disturbance event has occurred at the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10352712
Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for generating and using information about fuel options along a predetermined route. An optimized fuel location server may use information related to the fuel efficiency in a given vehicle and information related to the amount of fuel currently present in a fuel tank associated with the vehicle to determine where along the predetermined route fuel will be required. The optimized fuel location server may also determine where the vehicle should stop for fuel to navigate the route in the lowest cost way possible. The optimized fuel location server may further consider user preferences, such as preferred fuel providers, in determining which fuel option should be used. Finally, the optimized fuel location server may be configured to send notifications (e.g., real-time, etc.) to a user device when the user device is within the vicinity of one or more fuel options.

  • Patent number: 10332208
Abstract: A total cost of ownership (TCO) of a vehicle may be calculated based on received information identifying a vehicle, and retrieved vehicle data corresponding to the vehicle, such as vehicle insurance records, maintenance records, and vehicle operation sensor data. Additional information may be received identifying one or more entities associated with the vehicle, for example, a potential buyer and a potential seller of the vehicle Data may be retrieved corresponding to the entities associated with the vehicle, and a TCO calculation for a vehicle may be based on the vehicle data and additional information retrieved corresponding to the entities associated with the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10269074
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for an automated system for analyzing damage to insured property. An enhanced claims processing server may analyze damage associated with the insured item using photos/video transmitted to the server from a mobile device for analysis at the server in real time. Depending on network conditions, the mobile device may transfer images to the server in high definition or low definition. The server may send notifications to the mobile device to remind a user of the mobile device to capture and transfer images to the server. The server may analyze images to provide feedback to the insured user (e.g., insurance estimates).

  • Patent number: 10121204
Abstract: A communication module may receive communications from a vehicle. A collision detection module may determine that a collision has occurred at a vehicle based on one or more of the communications received from a vehicle. A participant identification module may identify one or more participants involved in the collision based on one or more communications received from the vehicle. A fault determination module may identify one of the participants as the at-fault participant based on a comparison of a fault determination ruleset to vehicle telematics data included in one or more of the communications received from the vehicle. A claims processing module may determine whether to file an insurance claim associated with one of the participants based on the estimated repair cost.
