  • Patent number: 10402805
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for point-of-sale customization service. A processor executing a point-of-sale customization service can receive a unique identifier associated with a user device detected in a proximity of a computing device. The processor can query preferences stored in a data store using the unique identifier and identify point-of-sale preferences associated with the user device based upon the querying. The processor can transmit the point-of-sale preferences to the computing device to apply to a transaction.

  • Patent number: 10393868
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products determine electromagnetic reflective characteristics of ambient environments. A wireless communications device sends a cellular impulse and receives reflections of the cellular impulse. • Patent number: 10394239
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring a monitored space include producing a first audio signal from received acoustic energy. The first audio signal is then processed against a whitelist of acoustic profiles and, based on lack of substantial correspondence with any of the acoustic profiles, a drone is navigated toward an apparent position of an apparent source. While in-flight, additional acoustic energy is received and a second audio signal is produced from the additional acoustic energy. The second audio signal is processed against the whitelist and, based on lack of substantial correspondence with any of the acoustic profiles of the whitelist, an investigate mode of the drone is initiated. The investigate mode includes notifying a remote monitor and supplying the remote monitor with an audiovisual feed. Responsive to a characterization by the remote monitor, an entry of the whitelist may be updated, added or replaced.

  • Patent number: 10373485
Abstract: An ultrasonic source controlled by a controller to cause the ultrasonic source to emit one or more sound pulses in a direction of a surface in order to obtain one or more reflected sound pulses that are used to determine one or more properties of the surface. The ultrasonic source receives one or more control signals based on the one or more properties of the surface that are determined. Further, the ultrasonic source emits one or more ultrasonic sound waves in the direction of the surface based upon the one or more control signals. The one or more ultrasonic sound waves exert a force which causes visible particles to move to modify an opacity of the surface.

  • Patent number: 10353953
Abstract: Directional sound location is used to determine security events of a security system. A sound sensor reports a vector direction to a sound source of an acoustic signal. If the vector direction is historically observed at similar times, then perhaps the sound source is not considered a security event. However, if the vector direction is unknown or unfamiliar, the security system may infer the security event and notify emergency services.

  • Patent number: 10346467
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products help users recall memories and search for content of those memories. When a user cannot recall a memory, the user is prompted with questions to help recall the memory. As the user answers the questions, a virtual recollection of the memory is synthesized from the answers to the questions. When the user is satisfied with the virtual recollection of the memory, a database of content may be searched for the virtual recollection of the memory. Video data, for example, may be retrieved that matches the virtual recollection of the memory. The video data is thus historical data documenting past events.

  • Publication number: 20190184695
Abstract: A service is provided over a communication network. Initially, information indicative of physical characteristics of an item specified by a requester is received along with a request to generate a physical three dimensional model for the item. The information is transformed into model data used to generate the three dimensional model. Components for generating the physical three dimensional model are obtained from storage. A physical three dimensional model for the item specified by the remote requestor is generated, and imagery descriptive of the physical three dimensional model is sent to the remote requestor via the communication network. The components used to generate the physical three dimensional model are returned to storage.

  • Patent number: 10324526
Abstract: A system for adjusting content display orientation on a screen is disclosed. The system may include a processor that may detect both eyes and a body part of a user that is proximal to one or more of the user's eyes. The system may then determine an eye gaze plane based on the positions of the first and second eyes of the user. The eye gaze plane may be determined by identifying a first line of sight extending from the first eye and a second line of sight extending from the second eye. Additionally, the eye gaze plane may bisect a center of the first eye and a center of the second eye of the user. Once the eye gaze plane is determined, the system may adjust the orientation of content displayed on a display device based on the eye gaze plane and on the position of the body part.

  • Publication number: 20190158507
Abstract: A system for providing layered security is disclosed. In particular, the system may include determining a state of a first device of a device ecosystem and a state of a second device of the device ecosystem. Based on the states of the first and second devices, the system may include calculating a confidence score for the device ecosystem. If the confidence score satisfies a threshold score for enabling access to a selected system, the system may include transmitting an access code to the device ecosystem. Based on the access code, the system may enable the device ecosystem to access the selected system. If, however, the confidence score does not satisfy the threshold score, the system may include requiring the device ecosystem to provide additional authentication information in order to access the selected system.

  • Patent number: 10187254
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products predict emotional moods. Predicted moods may then be used to configure devices and machinery. A communications device may be configured to a mood of a user. A car may adjust to the mood of an operator. Even assembly lines may be configured, based on the mood of operators. Machinery and equipment may thus adopt performance and safety precautions that account for varying moods.

  • Patent number: 10158730
Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media for providing a recommendation and for rerouting calls are disclosed. For example, a method detects updated status information regarding a contact of a user and determines whether the updated status information signifies an event of interest. When the updated information is determined to signify an event of interest, the method provides to a device of the user a recommendation that the user should communicate with the contact. The recommendation includes an indication of the event of interest.
