  • Patent number: 10145201
Abstract: A technique facilitates pressure containment with a retrievable cement bushing. The retrievable cement bushing comprises a body having an internal longitudinal passage. Additionally, the retrievable cement bushing comprises an engagement lug which cooperates with a sleeve. The engagement lug is mounted on the body and is movable to a radially outward position for engagement with a corresponding portion of a surrounding wall, e.g an internal packer wall. The sleeve is sized to receive a slick joint therethrough and is movable to a radially inward position relative to the engagement lug so as to hold the engagement lug in the radially outward position. The sleeve protects the slick joint from inwardly directed loading via the engagement lug when the retrievable cement bushing is subjected to differential pressures.

  • Publication number: 20180283117
Abstract: A technique facilitates use of a liner hanger in a wide variety of environments by distributing loading. The liner hanger may comprise a liner hanger cone, e.g. an annular cone body, having a plurality of slots for receiving corresponding pipe-gripping slips. The slip slots and the corresponding pipe-gripping slips are staggered both longitudinally and circumferentially to distribute loading. An actuator may be used to shift the slips into gripping engagement with a surrounding pipe, e.g. casing, to improve the load distribution on the surrounding pipe and liner hanger cone once the liner is supported.

  • Publication number: 20180238151
Abstract: A technique facilitates hanging of a liner in a borehole. According to the technique, a liner hanger and a liner may be deployed downhole into a borehole. A wellbore anchoring device of the liner hanger is initially actuated to engage a surrounding surface and to resist downward movement of the liner. Additionally, a hold down anchor is subsequently actuated to resist upward movement of the liner. The hold down anchor may be released via mechanical manipulation of the liner hanger.

  • Patent number: 9942133
Abstract: A fully-connected mesh network includes a plurality of switches. A first switch receives a packet traveling through the mesh network from an external source node to an external destination node specified by the packet. A plurality of links, which are all included in a mesh link aggregation group (LAG), couple each possible pair of the switches by a respective single link. Each of the respective links is included individually in an individual LAG. Each of the switches is configured to receive a packet from another switch of the plurality of switches via only the mesh LAG, and each switch that receives a packet via the mesh LAG is configured to transmit the packet to another switch of the plurality of switches via only one of the individual LAGs. The packet travels to the destination node at most two hops across the plurality of switches.

  • Patent number: 9708961
Abstract: An apparatus includes an engine output module that determines an engine output power parameter for an engine. The apparatus includes an output power threshold module that determines if the engine output power parameter is below an output power threshold. The apparatus includes a NOx module that determines a nitrogen oxide (“NOx”) efficiency of a selective catalytic reduction (“SCR”) system in response to the output power threshold module determining that the determined engine output power parameter is below the output power threshold. The SCR system is in exhaust receiving communication with the engine. The apparatus includes a NOx threshold module that determines if the NOx efficiency is below a NOx efficiency threshold, and a NOx warning module that sends a NOx alarm signal in response to the NOx threshold module determining that the NOx efficiency is below the NOx efficiency threshold.

  • Patent number: 9711711
Abstract: A piezoelectric energy harvester device has a cantilevered structure with a rectangular proof mass portion defined by holes through a substrate along three sides of a proof mass portion and supported by a thinned hinge portion for free pivotal movement relative to an anchor portion. Elongated strips of piezoelectric energy harvesting units are formed in side-by-side spaced positions on the hinge portion and aligned parallel or perpendicular to a stress direction. Multiplexing electronics coupled to contact pads on the anchor portion selectively connects different strip combinations to power management circuitry, responsive to variations in vibration magnitude or modes.
