  • Publication number: 20180195776
Abstract: A controller for a thermo-electric cooler is disclosed. The controller comprises a current source for providing current for driving the thermo-electric cooler and a plurality of voltage supply connections for providing a plurality of different voltages for driving current controlled by the current source through the thermo-electric cooler. Voltage selection circuitry is provided for selecting a voltage from the plurality of different voltages, when connected, and for applying the voltage selected to the thermo-electric cooler. When selecting the voltage from the plurality of different voltages, the voltage selection circuitry is configured to select the voltage that, when compared to the other voltages of the plurality of voltages, minimises a potential difference across the current source.

  • Publication number: 20170264326
Abstract: A method of enhancing wireless communication performance includes receiving information indicative of a local interferer where the local interferer is identified based on dynamic position information indicative of a position of at least one mobile communication node, performing noise cancellation relative to a received signal by removing an interference signal associated with the local interferer to generate a scrubbed signal, and providing the scrubbed signal for additional signal processing.

  • Publication number: 20170247831
Abstract: A clothes dryer has a heat exchanger supplied with heat energy from a building's central heating system, or external heat generation units including district heating systems. Air is drawn by a fan axially through the heat exchanger, and back into it at a location so that it diffuses through the exchanger to mix with freshly-drawn-in air before being delivered upwardly into a drum inlet manifold. The drum inlet manifold also had an electrical element for use when hot water is not available. The fan is between the heat exchanger and the drum inlet manifold, and blows into the manifold, helping to prevent fluff-build-up on an electrical element in the drum inlet manifold, with consequent reduced fire risk. The heat exchange assembly is compact, beneath the drum inlet manifold, and is driven by the same drive as the drum. This allows the dryer to be as compact as a conventional household with only an electrical element heat source.

  • Publication number: 20170072160
Abstract: In various arrangements, a nebulizer element of a nebulizer may be energized with a drive signal. A phase offset of the drive signal may be measured. A phase delta may be determined. The phase delta may indicate a difference between a target phase offset and the measured phase offset. The target phase offset may indicate a non-zero target phase difference between the voltage of the drive signal and the current of the drive signal. A frequency of the drive signal may be changed to decrease the phase delta.
