  • Patent number: 10877931
Abstract: Example implementations relate to backups to a secondary storage system of a file system instance that hierarchically relates data objects by content-based signatures to a root object and includes subtrees that correspond to respective inodes. In an example, a list of the content-based signatures is sent to the secondary storage system. Metadata and data of a subtree is stored into an item in the secondary storage system designated for the subtree.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). In one example, an engine system includes a first EGR valve coupling an exhaust manifold to an engine exhaust system, a second EGR valve coupling the exhaust manifold to an engine intake system, and a control unit. The control unit selectively adjusts a position of the first EGR valve based on a target amount, and adjusts a position of the second EGR valve based on the target amount and a position of the first EGR valve. Responsive to a first degradation condition of the first EGR valve, the control unit adjusts the position of the second EGR valve based on the target amount and based on a pressure of the first exhaust manifold, and responsive to a second degradation condition of the first EGR valve, adjusts the position of the second EGR valve based on the target amount.

  • Patent number: 10729146
Abstract: A bun press is disclosed. The invention relates generally to a device for shaping the interior of an already baked, sliced bun and thereby creating a sloppiless bun. The device comprises a die or set of dies that is pressed into the top and bottom halves of a single or a plurality of baked, sliced bun(s) to provide an interior cavity that can contain messy, liquid-like or liquid fillings, e.g. “sloppy joe” fillings, melted cheese, meatballs and tomato sauce and the like.

  • Publication number: 20200244637
Abstract: A computing device operating system providing a plurality of secure domains. A domain manager selectively creates a plurality of secure domains, and one of the secure domains is selected as a current domain. A domain policy service stores and enforces, for each secure domain, a policy comprising a rule set controlling access to files and applications associated with the domain. A package manager enforces, for each secure domain, installation of the applications associated with the domain. A domain message service provides communication between running processes associated with different ones of the secure domains. An activity manager selectively switches the current domain. Domain isolation is achieved while enabling a unified user interface providing concurrent access to the resources of multiple domains.

  • Patent number: 10726576
Abstract: A method includes capturing images of a vehicle driver's face from a driver facing camera and images of a forward road scene from a forward facing camera. The images are analyzed to derive gaze direction data in a vehicle frame of reference. The gaze direction data are statistically collated to determine a frequency distribution of gaze angles. One or more peaks in the frequency distribution are identified and associated with corresponding reference points in the images to determine one or more reference gaze positions in the vehicle frame of reference. The one or more reference gaze positions are correlated with a position of the reference points in a forward facing camera frame of reference to determine a camera pose of a forward facing camera in the vehicle frame of reference.

  • Publication number: 20200234015
Abstract: A networked computer system for remote RFID device management and tracking provides a means for quickly deploying and managing RFID based technologies, serving both large and small use cases. The remote management and auditing tools significantly reduce labor force requirements by removing the physical interaction requirement, and permit new possibilities since clients can manage devices from any internet connected locale. The low entry and operational costs permit solutions which provide RFID devices to end users and their devices.

  • Publication number: 20200210733
Abstract: A disclosed method determines a distance from a camera to a face of a vehicle driver using information determined by phase detecting pixels of a digital image sensor of the camera. The method includes capturing an image of the driver including the driver's face and processing the image to determine a face region of the image. The method further includes determining a subset of phase detecting pixels of the digital image sensor that are associated with the face region of the image. A comparison of first and second image data generated by the determined phase detecting pixels is then used to determine a spatial image offset. The spatial image offset is then used to generate a first distance estimate of a distance between a region of the driver's face and the digital image sensor. The first distance estimate may be used to track the driver's head or eyes.
