  • Publication number: 20200268482
Abstract: A dental polishing tool for use in dental procedures. The polishing tool comprises an elongate polishing strip having an abrading surface. The polishing strip has a leading end and a trailing end. Extending from the leading end of the polishing strip, is a thin, flexible tail which comprises a flexible portion and a rigid tip at the end of the tail. The tail is designed to be inserted into a gap between two adjacent teeth. This tail facilitates positioning of the polishing strip into a position between the teeth. The tail is pulled through to draw the polishing strip into a position between the teeth. The user could then apply the polishing strip against the tooth in a conventional manner.

  • Patent number: 8230151
Abstract: A device having a signal level different from a signal level of an external device includes an interface, such as an I2C interface, for providing communications with the external device. The interface is configurable to support communications with the external device either via multiple wires or via a single wire.

  • Patent number: 8194379
Abstract: A method of and system for controlling the inrush current generated in a MOSFET of an inrush current control system, wherein the MOSFET includes a source, gate and drain. The dV/dt at the drain of the MOSFET is controlled so as to set the inrush current level as a function of dV/dt, independent of current limit without requiring a separate capacitor connected between the gate and drain of the MOSFET so that the MOSFET can turn on and off more quickly.

  • Patent number: 7382167
Abstract: An output signal is controlled with adjustable hysteresis in response to a variable voltage input signal. One or more signals derived from the input signal are respectively compared with first and second reference voltages of different magnitudes. The output signal changes from a first state to a second state when one of the derived signals reaches a first reference voltage level threshold, and changes from the second state to the first state when a second one of the derived signals reaches a second reference level voltage threshold. A first derived signal may be varied to have a voltage magnitude that is greater or lesser than the voltage magnitude of a second derived signal while maintaining a positive hysteresis level. The circuit may be configured to output a signal representing an undervoltage and/or overvoltage condition of the input signal.

  • Publication number: 20070017891
Abstract: An apparatus includes an outer closure including a closure plane and a circumferentially depending outer skirt extending in a first direction from the closure plane. The closure plane has first ramped lugs equi-spaced around a circumference of the closure plane and which extend axially in the first direction. The outer skirt has screw threads on a radially inward side and a tamper-evident arrangement frangibly connected to a lower edge of the outer skirt. A first ramp of each of the first ramped lugs is substantially parallel to the screw threads on a same radius. The apparatus also includes an inner sealing disk adapted to nest rotatably and axially movably against a side of the closure plane facing the first direction. The inner sealing disk is enclosed by the outer skirt and an axial movement of the inner sealing disk is limited by a retaining arrangement of the outer closure. The inner sealing disk includes second ramped lugs extending axially in a second direction opposite the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20050145629
Abstract: A system includes a container including projections equi-spaced around a neck region. Each of the projections includes a cam surface, a lock surface, a ramp, and a clamping surface. The system also include a closure including a closure plane and a circumferentially depending outer skirt extending from the closure plane, a tamper-evident arrangement frangibly connected to an edge of the outer skirt opposite the closure plane, and pairs of lugs equi-spaced around an inner sidewall formed by the outer skirt and the tamper-evident arrangement. A lock lug of each pair of lugs is arranged on the tamper-evident arrangement and a sealing lug of each pair of lugs is arranged on the outer skirt. In the system, each lock lug is adapted to engage the cam surface of a corresponding projection during an initial application operation. The lock lug is adapted to engage the lock surface of the corresponding projection after the initial application operation.
