  • Patent number: 7463097
Abstract: Systems involving temperature compensation of voltage controlled oscillators are provided. In this regard, a representative system incorporates: a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) having a tuning port and a phase-locked loop (PLL); and a temperature dependent voltage source. The VCO selectively exhibits one of a coarse tuning mode in which the temperature dependent voltage source is electrically connected to the VCO tuning port, and a locked mode in which the temperature dependent voltage source is not electrically connected to the VCO tuning port such that the PLL controls the frequency of the VCO.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2006
Date of Patent: December 9, 2008
    Assignee: NXP B.V.
Inventors: Damian Costa, William James Huff

  • Publication number: 20040268211
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing and reporting electronic content for Internet user accountability are described. The systems and methods in the present invention consist of a content-based software solution, for use on a personal computer, to determine inappropriate content and record content location. Log files of content are automatically sent electronically to those whom the user is accountable. Reporting of the log file is done on a scheduled basis.

  • Patent number: 6216720
Abstract: A siphon adapter is disclosed. The siphon adapter is comprised of a pipe configured so that one end of the pipe fits inside of a container through the opening and is in very close proximity with the lowest portion of container. The other end of the pipe is outside the container and connected to a shut-off device. It is lower than the first end so that after liquid starts to flow out of the container through the pipe and the shut-off device, the pipe forms a siphon and the liquid continues to flow out of the container even after the level of the liquid is below the opening until substantially all of the liquid has flowed out of the container or the shut-off device is turned off.
