  • Patent number: 12276636
Abstract: A system for detecting deposit formation on electrically-conductive materials in liquid and vapor phases includes a test cell for receiving a test liquid, for example. a lubricant, A heater heats the test liquid to generate a vapor phase of the test liquid in the test cell. A support frame supports at least a first set of electrical conductors in the test liquid, liquid phase, and at least a second set of electrical conductors in the vapor phase, each including a live and a neutral electrical conductor. A power source supplies electric current to the live electrical conductors. A sensor detects an electrical property in each set of conductors, which changes in response to formation of an electrically-conductive deposit connecting the first and second conductors in a respective set of conductors. Preferably, the electrical properties are detected by magnetic sensors such as Hall effect or eddy current sensors.

  • Patent number: 12256912
Abstract: A harvesting assembly for harvesting a tissue graft from surrounding tissue is disclosed including a guide. The guide includes a means for fixedly engaging with an anterior surface of the tendon. The guide also includes a means of guiding a cutting blade along a preferred trajectory into and along a length of the tendon. The guide also includes a means of guiding a truncating blade along a preferred trajectory across a width of tendon. The cutting blade may include two parallel blades for forming lateral sides of the tendon graft simultaneously. Each of the two parallel blades may define a leading edge that extends along at least a 90 degree arc that is equidistant from a stop on the cutting blade. The stop in combination with the guide may limit a cut depth into the tendon for a range of cutting blade handle elevation angles.

  • Publication number: 20240412359
Abstract: A processor (28) in communication with ultrasound probe (10) is configured to: generate an initial ultrasound image including an anatomical feature of a patient, an image artifact, and a region of interest obscured by the image artifact; and determine depths of the anatomical feature and region of interest. The processor generates a first ultrasound image with focal depth of the transmit and receive beams set to the depth of the anatomical feature, so the anatomical feature and the image artifact are enhanced and the appearance of the region of interest is decreased. The processor generates a second ultrasound image with the focal depth of the transmit and receive beams set to the depth of the region of interest, so that the appearance of the anatomical feature and the image artifact is decreased, and the region of interest is enhanced, and generates an output based on the first and second images.

  • Patent number: 12092562
Abstract: A testing device includes a scaffold for supporting conductive wires. The scaffold is placed in housing in which liquid and vapor phases of a fluid are provided, such that a first of the conductive wires extends into the liquid and a second of the conductive wires remains in the vapor throughout a test. The scaffold may include a plurality of lower support members and a plurality of upper wire support members, each of the support members including a plurality of routing supports to wrap a respective one of the test wires around. The device allows measurements to be made contemporaneously for the test wires.

  • Publication number: 20240177002
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for training an actor neural network used to select actions to be performed by an agent interacting with an environment. One of the methods includes obtaining a minibatch of experience tuples; and updating current values of the parameters of the actor neural network, comprising: for each experience tuple in the minibatch: processing the training observation and the training action in the experience tuple using a critic neural network to determine a neural network output for the experience tuple, and determining a target neural network output for the experience tuple; updating current values of the parameters of the critic neural network using errors between the target neural network outputs and the neural network outputs; and updating the current values of the parameters of the actor neural network using the critic neural network.

  • Publication number: 20240139050
Abstract: A patient support apparatus for use in treating patients with behavioral health indicia, including a base supporting wheels for movement along a floor surface, a litter for supporting a patient, and a lift mechanism to move the litter relative to the base between a lowered position and a raised position. A skirt barrier having a bottom edge defining a periphery is operatively attached to the litter for concurrent movement with the litter between an exposed configuration and a shield configuration. The exposed configuration corresponds to the raised position and is defined with the bottom edge spaced vertically above the base. The shield configuration corresponds to the lowered position and is defined with the bottom edge arranged adjacent to the floor surface and with the periphery extending around the base to at least partially limit external access to the base.

  • Patent number: 11960387
Abstract: A sample ratio mismatch (SRM) analyzer receives data from an online controlled experiment (OCE) and provides information to help determine a root cause of an SRM. The SRM analyzer may identify one or more segments in the data that include an SRM and may determine whether a triggered scorecard of the OCE includes an SRM. The data may include one or more scorecards. The SRM analyzer may determine whether each scorecard has an SRM. The SRM analyzer may test a difference in proportion of users assigned to treatment between a last scorecard without an SRM and a first scorecard with an SRM. If the difference in proportion is statistically meaningful, the SRM analyzer may determine that the SRM arose after the last scorecard. If the difference in proportions is not statistically meaningful, the SRM analyzer may determine that the SRM existed from a beginning of the OCE.
