  • Patent number: 11373737
Abstract: A dynamic medical object information base (DMOIB) is used with a communication protocol. A medical object information base (MOIB) may generally define rules of creation and modification of data defined for use in medical products. A dynamic version of the MOIB adapts to changing data classifications. DMOIB is preferably compatible with non-dynamic MOIB systems. DMOIB preferably reduces code space and simplifies management of software projects. DMOIB may allow for an entirely dynamic system using a discovery/negotiation process for determining full features of a device. DMOIB may also allow for generation of a dynamic interface to handle data from devices.

  • Patent number: 10506101
Abstract: An apparatus includes a user interface module configured to receive user information associated with a user. The apparatus also includes a classification module configured to apply a classifier defined within a classification tree to the user information, and to calculate a classification score representing an estimated likelihood that the user is associated with at least one user type. The classification module is also configured to classify the user to an identified user type based on the classification score. The apparatus also includes a database configured to store at least one of user account information associated with the user, historical information associated with the user, or historical information associated with a group of users including the user. The apparatus also includes an interface generation module configured to generate a signal based on the information in the database, the signal specifying a user interface to be presented to the user.

  • Patent number: 10063647
Abstract: Systems and methods directed to intelligent network communication and engagement during interaction with a consumer device. The progress of the consumer/consumer device can be tracked during interaction to make a decision to intervene based on one or more factors. The intervention may include invoking an appropriate, personalized request to the consumer for support. A consumer device can be employed to shop for a product via a mobile application provided by a retailer. For example, if the client has placed an item in a shopping cart, but does not completed the transaction, the context service can track events associated with the interaction and using an analysis service, and determine an appropriate time and/or manner to communicatively engage the user. As such, the context service can mimic a brick and mortar sales experience where sales associates determine the appropriate time to interact with a client who appears confused.

  • Patent number: 9872087
Abstract: A system for storing data collected by a body-worn sensor includes a central processing unit (CPU) that is configured to control operation of a gateway device; and one or more computer readable data storage media storing software instructions that, when executed by the CPU, cause the gateway device to: receive a MAC address of a new sensor and a protocol version associated with the new sensor from a server; attempt to contact the new sensor using the protocol version and the MAC address; when a response is received, send the response to the server for validation; when the response is validated by the server, establish communications with the new sensor; and forward data from the new sensor to a second server.

  • Patent number: 9641684
Abstract: A system and method for asynchronous conversation routing and tracing that allows a client and agent to connect and reconnect to one another over a discontinuous engagement. The system and method facilitate this by allowing multiple methods of communication between the client and agent, including live communications and out-of-band communications. All communications between a client and agent are tied to a client case accessible by the agent, and the client case can include context and environmental data to further assist the agent or to route a customer service call to an appropriate agent. At any time, the client or agent can send out-of-band messages to one another to advance the customer service process, or the client or agent can seek to re-establish live communication with each other. This provides the client with a consistent point of contact not easily supportable with phone based call centers where support is single-threaded.

  • Patent number: 8856380
Abstract: A communications protocol interface may be configured as being divisible into a core portion and an extensible portion. The extensible portion of the communications protocol interface may be further configured so that each network element can communicate a unique and optimally small subset of actual interoperable data that corresponds to at least a portion of a larger defined data set. A software generator program may be configured to generate a set of extensible source code that operates upon the subset of actual data and that directs the execution of the extensible portion of the communications protocol interface for a particular network element.

  • Patent number: 8799767
Abstract: A transformer system receives medical status data generated by a monitoring device. The medical status data represents one or more physiological characteristics of a patient. In response to receiving the medical status data, the transformer system applies a transformation to the medical status data. A script file results from the transformation of the medical status data. The transformation is specified by an Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation (XSLT) document. The transformer system then executes the script file. When the transformer system executes the script file, the transformer system can perform various actions. For example, the transformer system can generate result data and provide the result data to one or more other systems.
