  • Publication number: 20240076926
Abstract: In one aspect, a movable barrier operator system is provided that includes a motor configured to turn a drum to pay out a cable from the drum and permit a door connected to the cable to move from an open position toward a closed position. The system includes a memory configured to store an expected variable of the door, and a sensor configured to detect movement of the door. The system further includes a processor circuit operatively coupled to the motor, the memory, and the sensor. The processor circuit is configured to: use the sensor to estimate an actual variable of the door; determine whether the actual variable is acceptable based at least in part on the expected variable and the processor circuit causing the motor to turn the drum; and change operation of the movable barrier upon the actual variable of the movable barrier being unacceptable.

  • Publication number: 20240079924
Abstract: Described herein are fractional-slot-winding motors and electric vehicles using such fractional-slot-winding motors. In some examples, a fractional-slot-winding motor comprises a stator, a bus-bar assembly, and a plurality of coil units. The stator comprises a plurality of stator slots (e.g., 63 slots) extending through the core and radially offset relative to each other. Each dual-leg coil unit extends through two different stator slots and is electrically coupled to two other coil units on the coil-interconnection side of the rotor. Each single-leg coil unit extends through one coil slot and is electrically coupled to one other coil unit on the coil-interconnection side. At least some single-leg coil units can be coupled to a bus-bar assembly. Furthermore, the ends of the coil unit can have radial offsets relative to protruding portions, e.g., closer to the motor primary axis at the coil-interconnection side and further away on the opposite side.

  • Patent number: 11920193
Abstract: Methods of characterizing an analyte using a detector such as a nanopore and an enzyme are provided. One aspect features methods for characterizing a double-stranded polynucleotide using a detector, e.g., without using a hairpin connecting a template and a complement of the double-stranded polynucleotide. Another aspect features methods for characterizing an analyte using a tag-modified nanopore with increased sensitivity and/or higher throughput. Compositions and systems including, e.g., adaptors for attachment to double-stranded polynucleotides and tag-modified nanopores, which can be used in the methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11924102
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, network switch and computer program product for performing exact match lookup operations in a table. A hash of the lookup key is performed to generate a value which is used to identify a location in the hash memory space. The generated value is separated into a bucket row, a bucket column, a bucket plane and a secondary hash value, where the bucket row, bucket column and bucket plane are used to identify an originating home hash root bucket. The head entry on the collision chain of a hash root bucket identified via the secondary hash value that is a neighbor to the home hash root bucket is read to determine if an exact match of the lookup key exists. If the head entry exactly matches the lookup key, then a finding of an exact match of the lookup key is reported.

  • Patent number: 11921103
Abstract: A sequence of polymer units in a polymer (3), eg. DNA, is estimated from at least one series of measurements related to the polymer, eg. ion current as a function of translocation through a nanopore (1), wherein the value of each measurement is dependent on a k-mer being a group of k polymer units (4). A probabilistic model, especially a hidden Markov model (HMM), is provided, comprising, for a set of possible k-mers: transition weightings representing the chances of transitions from origin k-mers to destination k-mers; and emission weightings in respect of each k-mer that represent the chances of observing given values of measurements for that k-mer. The series of measurements is analysed using an analytical technique, eg. Viterbi decoding, that refers to the model and estimates at least one estimated sequence of polymer units in the polymer based on the likelihood predicted by the model of the series of measurements being produced by sequences of polymer units.

  • Publication number: 20240069989
Abstract: An enhanced integration of spreadsheet environments and external environments is disclosed herein that allows users to enter non-native statements directly into the cells of a worksheet so that external resources can be applied with respect to their values. In addition, a security model is disclosed whereby external functions referenced in the cells of a worksheet are executed in the context of a runtime environment that is secured apart from the spreadsheet application that hosts the worksheet. Various enhancements to the user experience are also disclosed that allow users to enter non-native statements in line with respect to the functional syntax that forms the basis of spreadsheet formulas.

  • Publication number: 20240066590
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to partial integrated core-shell investment casting molds that can be assembled into complete molds. Each section of the partial mold may contain both a portion of a core and portion of a shell. Each section can then be assembled into a mold for casting of a metal part. The partial integrated core-shell investment casting molds and the complete molds may be provided with filament structures corresponding to cooling hole patterns on the surface of the turbine blade or the stator vane, which provides a leaching pathway for the core portion after metal casting. The invention also relates to core filaments that can be used to supplement the leaching pathway, for example in a core tip portion of the mold.

  • Publication number: 20240073465
Abstract: A recommendation system integrated with a content management system (CMS). The CMS stores instances of shared content objects and coordinates user interactions by and between a plurality of CMS users. Shared content objects are divided into a plurality of portions, after which any user interactions over the various portions of the content object are observed and analyzed. User interest inferences are drawn from analysis of the observed user interactions taken user over respective particular portions of the content object. Based on the inferred user interests, fine-grained recommendations are formed and propagated. Some fine-grained recommendations refer to further content objects (e.g., content objects of different types). Some fine-grained recommendations are propagated to other CMS users (e.g., to a plurality of CMS users that are related in some way). The fine-grained recommendations refer to one or more specific portions of a content object as well as to the content object itself.

  • Publication number: 20240071374
Abstract: Verbal language analysis is provided to users. The user enrolls or subscribes for verbal language analysis or analytics. The user carries out or conducts a conversation with a third party. An intelligence device associated with the user records the conversation. The intelligence device performs verbal language analysis on the conversation. The verbal language analysis generates individual metrics for verbal factors of energy, word count, inflection, tone (e.g. pitch and sentiment), rate, and/or the like. A verbal intelligence index is determined from the individual metrics using aggregation, averaging, weighted averaging, and/or the like. An interface component generates views to display to the user for review of the conversation to facilitate better verbal performance during current and in future conversations.

  • Patent number: 11914483
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for using an algorithm and data structure for efficient and accurate classification of data items into recovery classes. When a target recovery time (TRT) is specified for a data set, a system may obtain version metadata regarding data items in the data set. The metadata may be obtained in reverse chronological order such that the latest record representing a version or other storage operation is first, followed by the second latest record, and so on. The system may use a bidirectional doubly linked list to efficiently store version data for a particular data item in memory. As version metadata records are read and added to the data structure in reverse chronological order, classification determinations may be triggered when certain conditions are met.

  • Patent number: 11916891
Abstract: The techniques herein are directed generally to a “zero-knowledge” data management network. Users are able to share verifiable proof of data and/or identity information, and businesses are able to request, consume, and act on the data—all without a data storage server or those businesses ever seeing or having access to the raw sensitive information (where server-stored data is viewable only by the intended recipients, which may even be selected after storage). In one embodiment, source data is encrypted with a source encryption key (e.g., source public key), with a rekeying key being an encrypting combination of a source decryption key (e.g., source private key) and a recipient's public key. Without being able to decrypt the data, the storage server can use the rekeying key to re-encrypt the source data with the recipient's public key, to then be decrypted only by the corresponding recipient using its private key, accordingly.
