  • Patent number: 10116455
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a large-scale broadband LTE wireless network capable of providing a very high wireless data capacity, wherein one aspect of the system utilizes a base station optimization server, wherein the base station optimization server comprises a publish-subscribe broker communications facility to which a mobile transceiver device is connected via a corresponding redirected bearer. A usage data reporting facility of the base station optimization server and the publish-subscribe broker communications facility are adapted to collect and report billing usage data for the mobile transceiver device for all data sent by the mobile transceiver device on paths that do not include a packet gateway (PGW) element, where the billing usage data is collected in the LTE network via paths that include the redirected bearer at the cellular LTE base transceiver station.

  • Publication number: 20180234323
Abstract: Wireless user device probe data can be used to infer or determine an attribute of a user. The probe data can be captured by a sensor device from probes wirelessly transmitted by the user device to search for wireless access points. The probe data can include network addresses of the wireless access points to which the user device has wirelessly connected. The probe data can also include connection information about wireless links between the user device and the wireless access points. The probe data and a user device identifier can be transmitted to a computing device that can compare the probe data to access point network addresses associated with attributes in an electronic data store to determine an attribute for a user of the user device.

  • Patent number: 10034627
Abstract: Lancet assemblies for puncturing the skin and creating an incision. Upon activation, the disclosed assemblies are configured to move through a firing sequence in which a puncturing instrument extends through an aperture in the device and then is retracted back into a housing of the device and cannot be re-fired. The assemblies are designed so that the aperture in contact with the incision site does not move relative to the incision site during the firing sequence. Accordingly, the tolerance of the assembly is reduced and the reliability of the incisions created by the assembly, including the depth and width of such incisions, is increased.

  • Publication number: 20180063762
Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, systems and methods implementing active-hot standby redundancy in server architectures are described. In an active-hot standby redundancy architecture, two or more matching service instances are installed in a network, on the same or different host computers. A standby service instance may maintain state information for every session maintained at an active service instance that it is poised to replace using a publish-subscribe communications network. When a failure occurs in the active instance, the standby instance may promote itself to active, and assume all aspects of the service identity and role of the active service instance it is replacing such that service to user devices continues without interruption.

  • Patent number: 9730626
Abstract: A one-time/single use safety lancet system includes a body; a spring coupled to the body; a keeper having a deformable member; and a core for supporting a lancet and having an end coupled to the spring. The core further has a first latch for engaging the deformable member when the lancet system is in an armed state. The deformable member of the keeper is fractured after one use of the lancet system which prevents any subsequent arming of the lancet system. The keeper may be made part of the lancet body. The core may include a second latch, wherein the second latch permanently deforms or fractures the deformable member of the keeper after the single, one-time arming of the safety lancet system.
