  • Publication number: 20110024943
Abstract: A system and method for dispensing a sealant over aircraft fasteners secured to a surface in the aircraft. The system includes a nozzle tip having a shroud configured for placement over the fasteners. Sealant is metered to the shroud via an orifice within the nozzle tip. The shroud is sized to leave a space between it and the fastener to control the amount of sealant applied to the fastener upper surface and along the interface between the fastener and aircraft surface. Pressurized fluid urges the sealant through the orifice.

  • Publication number: 20100308171
Abstract: A temporary fastener and a method of attaching an aircraft skin to a frame using the temporary fastener during a step of the skin to frame assembly process. The fastener secures the skin to the structure while holes for permanent fasteners are drilled through the skin and frame; the fastener is flush mounted so that an automatic drill can drill the holes without interference. The temporary fastener can be removed after the permanent fastener holes are drilled, and before or after permanent fasteners are inserted within their respective holes.

  • Publication number: 20100306059
Abstract: The exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for submitting a banner from a computer system in communication with a client device at a hotspot. The method includes determining if a packet coming from a client device is one that is enabled to receive a banner, and sends a insert message to the client device if enabled to receive the banner. The method further includes associating an appropriate banner for display on the client device by a location of the client device, and sending a banner to the client device for display. The system includes an inspection means that determines if a packet coming from a client device is one that is enabled to receive a banner, and sends a insert message to the client device if enabled to receive the banner. The system further includes a banner lookup means that associates an appropriate banner for display on the client device by a location of the client device, and a banner send means that sends a banner to the client device for display.

  • Publication number: 20100022873
Abstract: An image guided catheter navigation system for navigating a region of a patient includes an imaging device, a tracking device, a controller, and a display. The imaging device generates images of the region of the patient. The tracking device tracks the location of the catheter in the region of the patient. The controller superimposes an icon representing the catheter onto the images generated from the imaging device based upon the location of the catheter. The display displays the image of the region with the catheter superimposed onto the image at the current location of the catheter.

  • Publication number: 20090327473
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for dynamically recognizing and processing service order types in a network management system. Service type data for a new service order type is registered in a database table while the network management system is operating. Then, a service order is received in the network management system and the service order is parsed to determine if the received service order corresponds with the new service order type based on the service type data registered in the database table. If the service order corresponds with the new service order type, then the service order is processed by the network management system. If the service order does not correspond with the new service order type, then updated service type data may be registered in the database table.

  • Publication number: 20080173771
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling movement of a piece of railroad rolling stock within a classification rail yard. The method includes determining a predicted velocity of the piece of railroad rolling stock, and collecting at least one measurement to determine a measured velocity of the piece of railroad rolling stock. A comparison of the measured velocity to the previously predicted velocity is performed, and a modification to subsequent velocity control activities to minimize a variation in the predicted velocity versus the measured velocity is performed. A system and a computer software code are also disclosed for controlling movement of the piece of railroad rolling stock within the classification rail yard.
