  • Publication number: 20170103101
Abstract: In an embodiment, a system can determine potential data quality issues in a database. The system applies quality assignment rules to a data set. The quality assignment rules access data from the data set or calculate one or more values from data entries of the data set. Data entries or determined values that satisfy the quality assignment rules receive one or more scores. The system then presents a subset of the data set based on the determined one or more scores. Accordingly, a user of the system can determine the source of the data quality issues such as a broken or miscalibrated data gathering device.

  • Publication number: 20170053742
Abstract: An epoxy resin composition is disclosed for joining dissimilar materials. The identified epoxy resin compositions can fee used to seal metallic and non-metallic components of a capacitor. Specifically the epoxy resin composition can be applied to joints between a non-metallic capacitor bushing and a metallic tank cover and metallic terminal cap. Once the epoxy resin composition is cored, it can provide a seal that can withstand the stresses and environmental conditions to which a capacitor is subjected.

Abstract: A downdraft gasifier for producing a gaseous fuel to be used in an engine from a carbonaceous material with a pyrolysis module, a reactor module, and a heat exchanger system that cooperate to produce the gaseous fuel from the carbonaceous material and to extract particulates from the gaseous fuel from the reactor. The heat exchange system includes a first heat exchanger coupled to the dryer module that heats the carbonaceous material with the gaseous fuel output of the reactor module to dry the carbonaceous material; a second heat exchanger coupled to the pyrolysis module that heats the dried carbonaceous material with the exhaust from the engine to pyrolyze the dried carbonaceous material into tar gas and charcoal; and a third heat exchanger coupled to the reactor module that heats air used to combust the tar gas with the gaseous fuel output of the reactor module to preheat the air.

  • Patent number: 9547314
Abstract: A system according to the principles of the present disclosure includes an acceleration delta module and a remedial action module. The acceleration delta module determines an acceleration delta of a vehicle based on a difference between an actual acceleration of the vehicle and a desired acceleration of the vehicle. The acceleration delta module also determines an average value of the acceleration delta corresponding to at least one of a first predetermined period and a predetermined number of samples of the acceleration delta. The remedial action module, based on the average value of the acceleration delta and independent of a torque command generated to accelerate the vehicle, selectively takes a remedial action by adjusting operation of at least one of an engine and an electric motor.

  • Publication number: 20160243764
Abstract: A method of fabricating an object, comprising depositing a first layer of first object material on a support substrate electrode; applying a conductive agent material onto the first layer; depositing a first layer of charged powder on an intermediate substrate; conveying the first layer of charged powder on the intermediate substrate proximate to the first layer of first object material; and applying a transferring electric field to cause transfer of the first layer of charged powder from the intermediate substrate onto the first layer on the support substrate electrode, to form a first powder layer on the first layer on the support substrate electrode. Multiple powder layers may be deposited on the first layer. The method may be further comprised of fusing the powder layer(s) to form a first fused layer on the support substrate electrode. A related object fabrication apparatus is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160200084
Abstract: A method is disclosed for improving the productivity of digitally fabricated 3D objects with the same or different shape and material composition. The improved productivity is enabled by the incorporation of multiple build platforms and multiple objects per build platform within a 3D object fabrication apparatus. Some 3D manufacturing processes such as those based on electrophotography require a wait time to condition the build object before the next layer of build and support material can be applied. Under these fabrication conditions, the utilization of multiple build platforms in the 3D object manufacturing process effectively minimizes the wait time between layer deposition so that the productivity for fabricating 3D objects is improved. Furthermore, the incorporation of an additional adjacent set of multiple platforms enables rapid changeover when the fabrication of one set of 3D objects is completed on an adjacent set of build platforms.

  • Patent number: 9390084
Abstract: The present invention provides a technique for building natural language parsers by implementing a country and/or jurisdiction specific set of training data that is automatically converted during a build phase to a respective predictive model, i.e., an automated country specific natural language parser. The predictive model can be used without the training data to quantify any input address. This model may be included as part of a larger Geographic Information System (GIS) data-set or as a stand alone quantifier. The build phase may also be run on demand and the resultant predictive model kept in temporary storage for immediate use.

  • Publication number: 20160053604
Abstract: A well advisor system and console for monitoring and managing drilling operations at a well site. The system may be accessed through one or more workstations, or other computing devices, which may be located at a well site or remotely. The system is in communication with and receives input from various sensors. It collects real-time sensor data sampled during operations at the well site. The system processes the data, and provides nearly instantaneous numerical and visual feedback through a variety of graphical user interfaces (“GUIs”), which are presented in the form of an operation-specific console. The input and data provides information related to drilling operations at a well site, including, but not limited to, hole cleaning status and wellbore stability.
