  • Patent number: 12230983
Abstract: A smart battery balancer is provided that monitors the voltage output levels of two battery packs and switches current into a selected one of the batteries to maintain balanced voltage output levels. In one embodiment, first and second batteries are connected in series to generate a high voltage output. Current from the batteries is stored in an inductor that is connected to first and second switches. A switch control circuit is configured to generate drive signals to control the first and second switches. The drive signals close the first switch and open the second switch when an output voltage of the first battery is greater than an output voltage of the second battery. The drive signals open the first switch and close the second switch when the output voltage of the second battery is greater than the output voltage of the first battery.

  • Publication number: 20250054196
Abstract: Disclosed is a model and simulation (M&S) tool that allows users to manipulate the metadata of terrain and imagery files (geoTIFF files) to represent changes in the terrain or even add assets to them, such as buildings, geographic features (e.g., changed geography), or trees The disclosed M&S tool is able to add and/or remove features from the geoTIFF file by either directly manipulating the metadata of the file or by creating what is termed herein as a “shapefile” to overlay the changes on top of the file metadata. This manipulation enhances the fidelity of older geoTIFF datasets by selectively updating and/or adding content to the data and allows users to rapidly generate usable datasets within a physics based digital environment.

  • Publication number: 20250055277
Abstract: Systems and methods for testing a power plant emulation are disclosed. Software for an energy management system is deployed to a computer system comprising computing devices. A model of a power plant site is deployed to a test framework. Test commands and/or use cases are injected, via the test framework to public energy management system end points. The test commands and/or use cases are used to emulate and test the model of at least the portion of the power plant site and to generate simulated operating parameter values. The generated simulated operating parameter values of the model are compared with expected values. A determination is made as to whether the model passed testing using the comparison. After determining the model passed testing, software, corresponding to at least a portion of the model, is made available for deployment to operate a physical version of the power plant site.

  • Publication number: 20250031866
Abstract: The invention introduces mattress carrier clamps for lifting and transporting mattresses. The system comprises two clamps, one for each end of a mattress, consisting of pairs of arms with distal ends having paddles with rubber traction pads for engaging each side of the mattress. Opposing ends of the arms feature male and female connectors locking together to create a handle. When pressed together at the point nearest the user, the clamp securely grips the mattress by utilizing opposing force of mattress springs or foam. Upon releasing pressure, the clamp locks around the mattress allowing it to be lifted and carried via the handle. The clamps are easily adjustable and quickly removable. Made from materials such as steel, injection-molded plastic, or carbon fiber, the lightweight clamps are effective for moving bare and covered mattresses of various sizes.
