  • Publication number: 20240295382
Abstract: A thermal image-forming attachment for a sighting apparatus has a combiner for overlaying a generated thermal image from a display against a visible scene defined along an optical axis of the sighting apparatus, wherein the combiner intersects the optical axis between an objective lens and the visible scene. A first IR camera has a first field of view aligned with the sighting apparatus optical axis; a second IR camera has a second field of view narrower than the first field of view, aligned with the sighting apparatus optical axis. An image processor generates the thermal image on the display, wherein IR image content rendered from the second IR camera is centered within IR image content from the first IR camera. Collimating optics project the thermal image from the display toward the combiner as collimated light aligned with collimated light from the visible scene.

  • Publication number: 20240294252
Abstract: An aircraft comprises a fuselage, first and second wing segments each having a leading edge and a trailing edge, a plurality of spokes coupling the fuselage to the first and second wing segments, one or more motors disposed within or attached to the plurality of spokes, and three or more propellers proximate to a leading edge of the plurality of spokes, distributed along the plurality of spokes, and operably connected to the motors to provide lift whenever the aircraft is in vertical takeoff and landing and stationary flight and provide thrust whenever the aircraft is in forward flight. When the aircraft is in vertical takeoff and landing and stationary flight, the fuselage is approximately vertical. When the aircraft is in forward flight, the fuselage is approximately in the direction of the forward flight and extends forward beyond the leading edges of the first wing segment and the second wing segment.

  • Publication number: 20240287147
Abstract: Described herein are cystine-dense peptides capable of binding to PD-L1. Such peptides may function as PD-L1 inhibitors by binding to the PD-1-binding interface of PD-L1 and inhibiting interactions between PD-L1 and PD-1. Methods of using PD-L1-binding peptides to treat cancers, autoimmune diseases, or other conditions are also described herein. Such methods include delivering active agents complexed with a PD-L1-binding peptide to a PD-L1 positive cell or using a bispecific immune cell engager to recruit immune cells to PD-L1 positive cells. Also described herein are chimeric antigen receptors comprising PD-L1-binding peptides.

  • Publication number: 20240263455
Abstract: The top surface of an insert abuts with a form, with a tube extending into an aperture and sliding on a form post in the form. A rod inserted through the form, form post and tube holds the insert in place while castable material is poured in. The form is inverted with the guard rail base inside, the rod can be slid out of the form, and the form is removed. The handle is gripped by a claw on the obtuse angled chassis of a transporter. A handle on the chassis can be pushed to raise the guard rail base and to move the guard rail base on the surface by wheels. The guard rail base can be placed upon a pad having notches in its border.

  • Patent number: 12050052
Abstract: A refrigerated carrier device that can maintain biological samples including capillary blood samples at refrigerated temperatures is described herein. The carrier includes an insulated phase change material (PCM) that can be pre-chilled to maintain biological samples at a refrigerated temperature (e.g., 2-8° C.) while the carrier is in transit and/or temporary storage protecting the samples from degradation. The use of PCM enables the temperature to be kept reliably between 2-8° C., avoiding temperature excursions, and eliminating the need for a compressor or thermoelectric device at the point of collection, which can reduce costs and risks related to heat, noise, condensation, and sample degradation due to power outages. The carrier device can be removable from a Sample Preparation system, which enables it to double as refrigerated storage at the point of collection and during transportation.

  • Publication number: 20240055079
Abstract: A unified platform including an exosome-based method has been developed that uses only immunogenic epitopes for nanovaccine production. By eliminating these nonessential sequences from the full-length antigen, this new type of nanovaccine is safer as compared to those of existing vaccines. In addition, careful selection of targeting epitopes and incorporation of multiple epitope repeats into nanovaccine will make it more potent and precise than the traditional vaccines.

  • Patent number: 11235160
Abstract: A connector block that permits simultaneous and continuous interconnection of the three leads of the epicardial pacing wires, the pacemaker, and the ECG monitor on clear separately labeled connectors is provided. Circuitry is provided that allows the display of epicardial signals on the telemetry unit, while still preserving the ability to pace the heart from the pacemaker. When pacing the connector block prevents excessive loading of the pacer signals by the ECG monitor and/or damage to the monitor by the high-voltage pacer signals. The connector block may be used universally on all monitors without the need for sophisticated understanding of the electrical characteristics of the ECG monitor or concern for damage or improper signal loading.
