  • Publication number: 20170074010
Abstract: A helical gear actuator for use with a passage set or deadbolt set is provided. The helical gear actuator comprises a shaft including an at least one helical groove, a plunger and a receiver including two tracks, the receiver shaped to rotatably accept the shaft, the groove shaped to slidably accept the two tracks, such that in use, urging the shaft into the receiver effects rotation of the receiver relative to the shaft. Also provided are the passage set and the deadbolt.

  • Publication number: 20170004047
Abstract: Various systems, methods, and processes for optimizing the performance of a consolidated full backup of a restored virtual machine are disclosed. Changed data and metadata associated with the changed data is received from a hypervisor at a backup module. The hypervisor supports a virtual machine, and the virtual machine employs virtual disks. • Publication number: 20160138338
Abstract: A bi-level work platform includes a landing vertically spaced from and cantilever supported above a U-shaped base. A folding platform is pivotally connected to the landing by a pivotal platform and by gas struts. The folding platform is pivotable between a storage condition within the maximum extent of the landing and the pivotal platform and an operating condition extending from and generally parallel to the landing. The base is movable by rollers at the free ends of legs of the U-shaped base and by retractable casters which are pivotally mounted to the U-shaped base. Removable fall protection is provided on the folding platform including removable flaccid members and is pivotally received between the guide rails of the landing in the storage condition.

  • Patent number: 9285991
Abstract: Scheduling a proposed additional data transfer from one or more source storage devices to one or more target storage devices. A computer receives a request for the proposed additional data transfer, and in response, determines a measure of the proposed additional data transfer. The computer determines a measure of recent actual data transfers. The recent actual data transfers involve one or more of the source storage devices and one or more of the target storage devices. In response to the request for the proposed additional data transfer, the computer estimates performance of one or more of the source storage devices and one or more of the target storage devices that would occur during the proposed additional data transfer based on the measure of recent actual data transfers combined with the measure of the proposed additional data transfer.

  • Patent number: 9245219
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of and apparatus for managing and redeeming bar-coded coupons that are displayed from a light emitting display surface of an information storage and display device, such as a cell-phone, a smart-phone, or a data communication device. The linear (1D) bar code symbols, associated with bar-coded store coupons, are displayed on the light emitting display surface using in a pulse code modulation (PCM) format, wherein a substantial portion of the pixels on the light emitting display surface are energized and de-energized to emit red-wavelengths of light energy, at a rate which temporally corresponds to the spatial frequency of the bars and spaces of the linear bar code symbol, so that a laser scanning bar code symbol reading device is capable of reading the PCM formatted bar code symbol displayed from the light emitting display surface.

  • Publication number: 20150285508
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a system for stoking and arranging materials in a fire. An air flow generator is configured to flow air down a passage in a hollow rod that is configured to prod and rearrange the combustible matter of a burning fire. The hollow rod is durable enough to poke and reposition the combustible materials in a fire. While this poking and repositioning is occurring, air sent from the air flow generator is conducted at an outlet of the hollow rod, thereby stoking the flame burning the combustible matter while the combustible matter is also being poked and prodded at. The hollow rod can be configured to be a telescoping hollow rod that is permitted to extend and collapse on itself for more convenient storage and transport options.

  • Patent number: 9094567
Abstract: A camera system to capture a visual image comprising of a housing that allowing a beam of light representing the visual image to be captured to enter the housing. The camera system has a dichroic beam splitter placed in the path of the beam of light to split the beam of light into a two beams of light. The first beam of light is comprised of red light and blue light while the second beam is comprised of green light and near infrared light. The camera system has two filters that will filter the two beams of light. The first filter is comprised of an array of a first and second filter elements. The first filter element allows red light to pass through it while the second filter element allows blue light to pass through it. The second filter has an array of two filter elements as well. The first and second filter elements in the second filter will allow green and near infrared light to pass through it. The amount of filtered light for each of the spectral bands is roughly equal to each other.

  • Patent number: 8926567
Abstract: A fluid delivery device includes an array of needles, each in fluid communication with a respective reservoir. Respective actuators are coupled so as to be operable to drive fluid from the reservoirs via needle ports. Each needle can have a plurality of ports, and the ports can be arranged to deliver a substantially equal amount of fluid at any given location along its length. A driver is coupled to the actuators to selectively control the rate, volume, and direction of flow of fluid through the needles. The device can simultaneously deliver a plurality of fluid agents along respective axes in solid tissue in vivo. If thereafter resected, the tissue can be sectioned for evaluation of an effect of each agent on the tissue, and based on the evaluation, candidate agents selected or deselected for clinical trials or therapy, and subjects selected or deselected for clinical trials or therapeutic treatment.
