  • Publication number: 20100038067
Abstract: There is a climate control system for open-seat vehicles. The climate control system includes a control module and a heating module operationally coupled to an interface portion of the open-seat vehicle. The heating module includes a device for converting power to heat when activated. The heating module also includes a timing module configured to automatically switch the heating module operation from a first heating mode to a second heating mode that is of a lower heat flow than the first heating mode after a programmed time elapses from actuation of the first heating mode. The control module is configured to be coupled to the handles and accessible therefrom. The climate control system also includes a retrofit kit configured to be added to a open-seat vehicle. The retrofit kit may also include mounting devices for mounting the components and modules to the open-seat vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7613211
Abstract: A method for digital clock smoothing comprising: (A) inputting an asynchronous data stream having an asynchronous symbol rate into a two-port memory block; (B) accumulating a plurality of symbols of the asynchronous data stream in the two-port memory block for a predetermined time period; (C) computing an average symbol rate for the input asynchronous data stream; (D) generating a clock error signal equal to the difference between the average symbol rate of the input asynchronous data stream and a nominal output synchronous clock; (E) obtaining a smoothed symbol rate clock by using the error clock signal; and (F) generating an output smoothed data stream having the smoothed symbol rate clock.

  • Publication number: 20080276138
Abstract: A method for encrypting and decrypting an original data stream comprising: (A) transmitting a copy of a key to an interleaver and to a de-interleaver, wherein the key includes a key-algorithm configured to describe an evolution in time of at least one interleaving parameter; (B) interleaving the original data stream by using the interleaver, wherein the interleaver compensates for a change in latency caused by at least one dynamically changeable interleaving parameter; and (C) recovering the original data stream from the interleaved data stream propagated through the communication channel by using the de-interleaver adapted to communicate with the communication channel, wherein the de-interleaver compensates for a change in latency caused by at least one dynamically changeable interleaving parameter.

  • Patent number: 6850950
Abstract: A parsing technique suitable for use in electronic commerce that avoids the disadvantages of known monolithic parsers. The parsing system generates code specific to each input document and data stream type, which may then be updated as needed to handle document-specific idiosyncrasies without requiring modifications to the core parser code. As a user (10) defines parsing rules for extracting data from a representative sample document (15), a visual trainer (16) automatically generates code in the background, referred to as a filer (17), that is specific to that document and that embodies the rules for extracting data from that particular document. The generated code may be modified manually (18) as needed to account for any idiosyncratic conditions associated with the document. Each representative document has associated with it its own filer. A parsing engine (20, 21) comprises a collection of such individual filers appropriate for the types of documents that arise in any given organization.

  • Patent number: 4862563
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a flexible securing strap having at one end a double-sided strip of VELCRO.RTM. hook material. The other end is bifurcated into two sections, each of which have the VELCRO.RTM. loop material on the internal surface, such that the VELCRO.RTM. hook end will attach to the interior surfaces of each of the bifurcated end sections in a sandwhich fashion. The invention is also directed to the fastener itself.

  • Patent number: 4659045
Abstract: A hollow frame, of the general shape of the letter D, has a straight side adapted to rest on a horizontal supporting surface such as the ground or a floor, this straight side having sufficient dimensions to provide stability to hold the rest of the frame in an upright position in a vertical plane. A plastic trash bag has its open end inserted through the hollow frame and its margins folded back over the outer surfaces of the frame, so that the frame holds the mouth of the bag open, in position to receive trash inserted by an approximately horizontal motion. As the bag becomes more full, the frame may be lifted off the supporting surface, using convenient hand holes provided in the frame, and the partially filled bag may be placed upright, in which position the frame remains at the top of the bag and continues to hold the mouth of the bag open to receive more input.
