  • Patent number: 7554974
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing stateful signaling transactions in a distributed processing environment are disclosed. A method for performing stateful signaling transactions in a distributed processing environment includes receiving a signaling message at a routing node, such as a signal transfer point. The signaling message is distributed to one of the plurality of stateful processing modules. The receiving stateful processing module buffers the signaling message and initiates a stateful transaction based on the signaling message. Initiating the stateful transaction may include generating a query message and inserting a stateful processing module identifier in the query message. The query message is sent to an external node, such as an SCP, which formulates a response. The SCP may insert the stateful processing module in the response and send the response back to the signal transfer point.

  • Publication number: 20080211724
Abstract: The detection device that can be used for detecting objects behind clothing etc including a dielectric lens and a receive element sensitive to millimetre wave radiation. Prior art systems produce an image of a scene usually using scanning optics. This can be large and expensive. The present invention instead takes spot readings from different parts of a scene without building up an image. The spot readings are processed, and an indication given to a user if certain characteristics of the readings are observed. Typical characteristics used are the differences in absolute received power level, and the power level at different polarisations. Such characteristics are typically present is an object of interest is in the scene. Also disclosed are various methods of altering the received beam to get readings from different areas from the scene, such as changing the beam width, or beam angle.

  • Patent number: 7349862
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a business intelligence monitor method and system. Business intelligence indicators are monitored by generating a monitoring repository through selecting functions from a collection of functions, for receiving the business intelligence indicators as inputs. The thresholds for the business intelligence indicators are then established to define the states for the business intelligence indicators. Each state of the business intelligence indicators is assigned an associated priority. The monitoring repository is updated by retrieving a current value for each of the business intelligence indicators from a data source, thereby determining the state for each of the business intelligence indicators based on the current value. A report based on the updated monitoring repository is then created.

  • Patent number: 7329621
Abstract: Stretchable film laminates including a layer of elastomeric openwork, such as a plurality of elastic strands or an elastomeric mesh structure. The stretchable film laminates may include a film layer bonded to the layer of elastomeric openwork, with the film layer having cross-directional stretch and the laminate having a multi-phase stretchability profile. The stretchable film laminates may be made by extruding a film from a die, stretching the film, forming and stretching a layer of elastomeric openwork, conveying the stretched elastomeric openwork onto the film while the film is stretched, and passing the film and the elastomeric openwork through a nip. The invention also includes a machine capable of producing machine-direction, cross-direction, and biaxial stretch materials. The machine includes at least one extruder, at least one filament die and at least one film die both attached to the extruder(s), and at least one nip downstream of the extruder(s).

  • Publication number: 20080033858
Abstract: An online auction process for derivative securities is used to determine a fair market value of an asset or benefit provided to others, such as employee stock options. In one embodiment, the derivative securities track the intrinsic value realized by employees when exercising the employee stock options granted to them by their employers. The derivative securities may include rules for handling modifications to an employee stock option grant and/or rules for handling forfeitures of some or all of the employee stock options.

  • Patent number: 7190959
Abstract: Methods and systems for processing messages at a first network node in a mobile communications network are disclosed. A first message relating to a communication in a mobile communications network that includes a called directory number is received. A lookup is performed in a first database based on the called directory number to determine whether a called party has been ported out of a first network and to determine a migration status of the called party. In response to determining that the called party has been ported out of the first network, a first reply message is formulated including first routing information from the first database that indicates a second network to which the called party has been ported. If the called party has not been ported out, a second reply message is formulated including second routing information from the first database that corresponds to the determined migration status.

  • Publication number: 20050240862
Abstract: A method is disclosed for displaying a plurality of statistical data usually presented in a histogram, such as sample counts and percentages of a collection of categorized samples, in a compact single table. The method comprises presenting grouped statistical data that exists within a collection of “buckets” and presenting the sample count for the collected data as an integer in a corresponding cell in the table. Additionally, as disclosed by the present invention, the percentage value of the samples located in each bucket data cell is represented in the data cell as a superimposed gray-scale representation. Presenting the percentages in gray-scale provides overall clarity to the table, assists in ensuring that data can be quickly and easily interpreted and not be subject to misinterpretation, and further allows for the compact display of such information in a single table and subsequent manipulation by automated analysis tools.

  • Publication number: 20050045591
Abstract: A method of treating a molybdenum (moly) mask used in a C4 process to pattern C4 contacts. The moly mask has a wafer side which contacts a wafer during the C4 process and has a rough surface that includes spikes/projections of moly. The moly mask also has a non wafer side and a plurality of holes extending through the mask to pattern C4 contacts in the C4 process. An adhesive layer, such as an adhesive tape, is applied to the non wafer side of the moly mask, to enable a polishing tool to pull a vacuum on the non wafer side of the moly mask in spite of the presence of the holes to secure the moly mask during a subsequent polishing step. The tape also functions as a cushion so that defects on the non wafer side of the moly mask do not replicate through the moly mask to the polished wafer side of the moly mask.
