  • Publication number: 20090082991
Abstract: A method of transferring information stored in a mobile instrument, the information including a first information file (140) containing metadata and a pointer indicative of a first auxiliary file address; and a first auxiliary file (141) containing image information, the first auxiliary file being located at the first auxiliary file address. The method includes the steps of: storing the metadata in a second information file (140?); storing the image information in a second auxiliary file (142?) at a second auxiliary file address; generating a second pointer indicative of the second auxiliary file address; and storing the second pointer in the second information file. The instrument includes a camera (70); one or more spatial sensors; and an external sensor port (56). Power to the sensors can be controlled asynchronously. Various parsing methods are also described. The instrument includes a marker module configured to superimpose a marker on the image.

  • Publication number: 20090000918
Abstract: A reciprocating slat conveyor includes a plurality of side-by-side support beams (12) and conveyor slats (14) which fit onto the support beam (12). The support beams (12) are constructed from metal. The conveyor slats (14) are constructed from plastic. In one embodiment (FIGS. 1-4) the plastic slats (12) are snapped fit onto the support beams (12). In some other embodiments (FIGS. 6 and 7) the conveyor slats (110, 112) are slid lengthwise onto the support beams (102).

  • Patent number: 7235358
Abstract: Methods of diagnosing or monitoring transplant rejection, particularly cardiac transplant rejection, in a patient by detecting the expression level of one or more genes in a patient, are described. Diagnostic oligonucleotides for diagnosing or monitoring transplant rejection, particularly cardiac transplant rejection and kits or systems containing the same are also described.

  • Publication number: 20070037144
Abstract: Leukocyte gene expression profiling is utilized to identify oligonucleotides from gene expression candidate libraries. The expression libraries are generally immobilized on an array. Diagnostic oligonucleotide sets for analysis of leukocyte-related diseases are described.

  • Publication number: 20060225422
Abstract: Apparatus and processes are provided for combusting hydrocarbon-containing waste fuel with an oxidizer, preferably liquid oxygen, and producing a substantially clean exhaust gas and a separate high purity steam product (e.g., superheated steam) that can be used to generate electrical power. The apparatus includes a plurality of combustion chambers in series with means to control the combustion temperature while facilitating complete combustion. The apparatus and method are useful for transforming waste materials, particularly solid and liquid wastes, such as the rubber from scrap tires into non-hazardous materials and energy.

  • Publication number: 20060053791
Abstract: The invention provides processes and apparatuses for safely, rapidly, cost-effectively and efficiently producing a superheated steam product or dry saturated steam product that can be employed to generate electrical power, or in other manufacturing and/or non-manufacturing processes, in an environmentally clean manner without causing corrosion to electrical power-generating devices. These processes and apparatuses involve the combustion of one or more fuels containing the elements hydrogen and/or carbon, which can be derived from waste materials, such as the rubber from scrap tires.
